Log of May (2021) - This level is getting huge.


Hello again,

My oh my. The red level is already filling out two spritesheets. With some clever texture packing, we might only need three.

Anyway, further development on things we've mentioned in previous devlogs. Let's go!


May Development

  1. Implementing dialogue
    ...On Terry Crews' head. We use a pic of him as a placeholder NPC. Hehe.

  2. Further inventory + scrolling improvements
    Coder (@RocketBoyweee ) tells me it feels oh so very good

  3. Crucial background is done.:
    This is the longest background we'll have in game so far.
    A combination of unique textures, repeatables and other sorcery. We look forward to showing it in-game.

  4. Putting new textures on the spritesheets.
    What a puzzle that was.

  5. Adom and Grace sprites!
    Got the first rudimentary sprites for the two new NPC's done (Ass seen in the thumbnail of this devlog). We'll most likely add more.

    Sorry, Terry Crews. The time has already come to replace you.
