Lullaby For An Electric Toaster - v1.0.0

In this surrealistic 3D horror/platformer game, explore what happens when an electric toaster has bad dreams.

Play now!

Version 1.0.0 is now available, in addition to the original game jam build. You can use the forward slash (/) cheat key to skip levels.

Changes (version 1.0.0):

  1. Fixes issue from the original game jam build where the 3-legged onions go missing in the “Fastest” or “Fantastic” graphics quality settings on high framerates. (These settings didn’t use vsync to limit the update rate, messing up the physics).

  2. Fixes issue from the original game jam build where the keys or onions fall over the edge of the platform in Level 4: Mystery Door.

  3. Doubled the damage that your flaming toast does.

  4. Tweaked the lighting to be even darker in Level 1 and 2, and brighter in 3 and 4 due to varying screen gamma issues on different machines.

  5. Tweaked the health of monsters.

  6. Added more scrawled text on surfaces.

  7. Added a more definitive and gruesome “nowhere” in Level 3: The Fridge to Nowhere.

  8. Added an auto update checker.

  9. If you beat the game, it will open up the Gamejolt page when you press escape.

  10. Tweaked the damage from stoves.

  11. Added an application icon.

  12. Added a splash image in the configuration settings.

Couch co-op for up to 10 players, who all control anthropomorphic fingers. Step on the special button to randomize the appearance of the finger and distinguish it from the other fingers.

Just started on this jam today. Made a happy little anthropomorphic finger character, ready to do some typing.

Here's how to type words with fingers. Now I can start making the real levels. There will be buzzsaws and lava floors.

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

My D&D art for my family so far (WIP if you couldn't tell)

Levels' maps.

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
