Lullaby of the Snow: Demo reflection, what went well, what didn't?

Well, it's now been a little over 2 months since the release of the demo, and it certainly received more attention than expected, though not as much as you might think either. Let's figure out why!

What went well with the demo? Well, lots of things! Its release alone is certainly an accomplishment. The puzzles were relatively intuitive, though sometimes a bit too difficult. No real game-breaking bugs were found (on the PC port, we'll get to the XBOX port in a bit...), and overall it was received well! People seemed to like the art direction and music, and many people liked the mechanics.

Well, that isn't a bad list, now what exactly went... well, not so great? Well, the XBOX port itself is a whole can of worms, given that the porting process produced random instabilities for seemingly random people and for no reason... we still really aren't sure why there are more prominent bugs in the XBOX port, but we've really been trying our best to make sure this will not happen for the final game. Outside of that, as I stated above, the puzzles seemed to be a bit hard for certain people. In some ways that was very much intentional, and in others not so much. We aren't exactly going to make the final game easier, but we are certainly going to work on visual and auditory clues and just general environmental hints.

Thank you to all of you who gave the demo a fair shot! We are still very much actively working on the demo and are certainly going to post more updates and progress as we get more done. If you have anything else you'd like to add, feel free to do so in the comments!
