CRUSH

Making an arcade cabinet is interesting....

I spent the past couple of days figuring out this cabinet for CRUSH. Most of the difficulties have been tech issues. The goal of the cabinet is to do a mirror projection like the cabinets from the late 70's, early 80's. The issues I encountered:

1. Game runs on windows, but windows doesn't allow for inverting the screen to show in a mirror - not without expensive hardware.

2. Linux will invert the code through the command line, but the game won't run the NWJS app and after 15+ hours trying to solve this. I've settle on running it as HTML5 through my site, which will introduce some else I'll talk about later.

I found a frame for $1.50 at Habitat for Humanity that make the cabinet look cool.

As this is my first cabinet - I may not have this be for CRUSH. So i'm going to move these post over to my dev account so follow me, @saltandpixel to follow the progression of this project.

Annihilator will be at MAGFest as a part of the homebrew showcase. If you are going, come say hi to me.

Cast is all here. Zernek did a great job with the character redesigns. https://twitter.com/Zernek1 Next, I need to redo the boss and level art.

Welp. Got a new demo out. It's a block breaker game.

A little stupid thing I'm working.

So this is more exciting for me then you, but It's still pretty cool. I'm turning this old laptop into a linux system to boot CRUSH - like an arcade cabinet.

I've decided to put a lot of focus on next year to creating my own web app arcade. Games that you can install on your PC or Mobile, direct from my website. I have 4 games available right now. https://saltandpixel.com/arcade-beta-v1-1

The previous computer was all jacked up. It wouldn't boot linux for the HDD. I went out to Goodwill and bought this. I'm going to strip the monitor down and design a cabinet for CRUSH.

Just wanted to announce that Annihilator has left Early Access and is now a full release!

Buff SCP-173 is now for sale. Limited Run of 10. Made when ordered. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1679036031/scp-173-buff-100mm-made-…
