Hey there, it's QSV yet again, back with another update.
In the previous devlog, we have covered what our approach is to making the full game. We are still in the very early stages of it now, but as of this moment, you are finally getting a teaser of what this new concept will bring.
Title
First... the name of the game...
Yep. We have finally set a name in stone for our project. As sad (or happy if you prefer) as it is, it's time to say goodbye to the fabled "underlegend" title... and replace it with this!
Huge thanks to @TrusttaleOfficial for pitching the name. We couldn't find one more suitable!
Engine
Another one of the important aspects to approaching a start to this game is the overall engine itself. In the GIF above is a preview of the shading system that we have planned, as well as a new SAVE point sprite.
(please excuse the McDonald's fries image)
This game will use the Undertale Engine that I made for my tutorial a while back, but it will be heavily modified to allow for all kinds of new possibilities that we have in mind for a unique gameplay experience.
Team and Story
Our team is coming together slowly but surely, and there is still room for more. Right now, everyone is pitching their own ideas into the story that we're writing, which... is not even halfway done yet. We can't show you anything about it yet, so we will leave that until either the April or May devlog (highly subject to delay).
What's next?
Moving on, our goal is to finish the story and then get working on the base assets for the game. It's not going to be a smooth journey ahead as a lot of things need to be finalised, but as soon as that happens, we will be ready! Ready for the long trek ahead.
In the final words of this log, don't be scared. Fate will not work out for you.
