Memories of Time - MTT's Mega Game Show

Memories of time will be a series of 3 short devlogs that will talk about the game events from the past.

MTT's Mega Game Show was an in-game event organised on the 9th of January 2022.

You can watch the summary of the event here:

The event was programmed to feature 6 different multiplayer minigames:

First one, Ghost Vibes:

This was basically "red light, green light" but with Napstablook. You could only move when they are vibin' to music.

Second, MTT'S Pictionary

One player was randomly chosen, they were given a random Undertale-related word that they are supposed to draw.
The rest of the players had to guess.

Third, King of The Hill

If you've played games like TF2, you'll know what this was about. Push other players off the hill and get as many points as you can (by staying on top, of course).

This was the first and only pseudo-3D minigame.

Fourth, Falling Rocks

This was a "casual" minigame, meaning others can't disturb your gameplay, you could still chat with everyone though.

You were meant to walk across the waterfall and avoid falling rocks, if you succeeded, you gained a point (that kinda sucked.)

Fifth, Thundersnail

Best out of all the minigames. Your goal was to be the first snail to get across the field. Every so often, you and others would get special Mario Kart Inspired powerups to help you win.

Sixth minig-

There is no sixth minigame. During this event, I learned an important lesson: always test something before releasing it.

This event was not tested at all, and as a result, we lost a lot of time dealing with avoidable bugs. Most minigames barely worked, and for some people, it didn't work at all.

It's worth mentioning that this event was created on the old game engine. Since then, we've created a new engine that is much more stable and more Undertale-like, which we use now.

Despite all the bugs and issues, people still enjoyed this event. And for me, that was all that mattered at the time.

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

#Pecaminosa | #IndieDev | #OST | #Jazz

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Quantum precognition is one of the most powerful cards. End game cards & equipment. Demo/alpha build boss is no match for this deck.

"Our work is never over" they said.

Family band complete!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
