Month Report
Well, I have some exciting news regarding progress and the new contents we've been adding, which are two completely new systems, if you could call it that, I'll proceed to briefly introduce them to you.
NEW DIALOGUE SYSTEM!
Okay, this is something I kinda had in my head from a long time ago but decided not to incorporate it because of the work that would take and how it could maybe provide some cons to how the dialogues play, but after actually trying to figure out how could be the best way to add them, I've decided they will stay and will be the main form of communication from the player to the game world.
These are just some examples of the multi-choice dialogue and interactions you can have with the NPCs of the game. While yes, multi-choice dialogue it's not an explosion of originality, it is certainly more interactive and engaging. Hopefully. But there is still a bit more.
A BIT MORE?!!?
Not only you have multi-choice dialogue, but also you have CHANCE BASED interactions.
Hell yeah baby. Blackmail time.
These chance based interactions will, BY CHANCE, decide if you are successful or not in your choice, which can lead both to good and bad outcomes depending on, well, CHANCE.
Some chance based interactions are fairly easy to succeed at (Like the one in the screenshot), but that also comes with heavier repercussions if you fail it and lighter rewards if you succeed, and vice-versa with hard to succeed at choices (Or at least, that's usually how it goes). Now, let's check the next new thing.
NEW QUESTING SYSTEM!
YEAAHHHH. Strong credits to Modern Algebra script, we have now incorporated a questing system which will make the things you can do much more clearer! (Or at least give you some kind of direction).
This for example, it's the main quest from the act.
Most quests will come with a banner, a description and objectives that will start to unlock as you progress on the mission itself, which if you are disorientated in what to do, will help.
This questing system also applies to completely optional and secondary stuff to do in the different areas, such as feeding a dog or making friends for an introvert, so if you want to engage in completely irrelevant and/or trivial stuff, you are encouraged.
That is all for this month's progress, I can't say I gave my 100% since school is kinda burning me out and had a lot of exams these past few weeks, but once I get through these a bit heavy times and get my vacations, development will surely go faster. Either way, I hope you liked what was showed today here and see you next month report, Cya!
