Plants vs. Zombies Infected

More plants, more levels, more fun! This update is a smaller content drop before I finish off PvZ Infected's first world, and may be the last one for the year because of the number of songs and levels I need to make as well as the addition of a boss.


Additions:

  • Added Spikeweed, a plant that can't be attacked by most enemies and deals damage to those that walk over it.

  • Added Marigold, which passively produces Coins.

  • Added levels 1-11 and 1-12.

  • Added PvZ-themed Lawnmowers for World 1.

  • Added a spawn animation for Rifts.

  • Added Rift Ambush wave types, which announce the appearance of Rifts on the lawn.

  • Riftmakers, which were previously unused, make an appearance in level 1-12.

Fixes:

  • The Beta Lawnmowers in every level have been replaced with PvZ Lawnmowers.

  • Fixed bug where Plants could be placed on grid items they shouldn't, notably Rifts and dormant Boot Sectors and Bisectors.

Changes:

  • Potato Mine's explosion radius is somewhat larger, though it doesn't exceed a 1x1.

  • Enemies can now drop Diamonds and not just Coins, though the chance is very rare.

  • Enemies with 2000 or more health have a greater chance of dropping Coins and Diamonds.

That's all for this update. Next big update will include levels 1-13, 1-14, 1-15, and three bonus levels, and a full boss fight!

I will be slowing down progress significantly, as I have other games to work on, and future updates will be private for the sake of leading to full release. In the meantime, join the discord server for future info. I appreciate the love you've all shown!

I have decided to completely redo PvZ Infected from the ground up, as the older version was both buggy and annoying to add new plants, enemies, and levels. Just today, I have set myself up to make it much easier for me to expand the game.

PvZ Infected's Level Data Documentation has been updated for version 2.0.3, including the new plants, levels, and changes to prebuilt seed packet decks. In the meantime, Enjoy some silly PvZ Infected Spikeweed sketches!

I've made a small adjustment to the levels so that 1-12, 1-14, and 1-15 reward more coins for beating them! The changes have to be loaded with the level data button though, until 2.1.1 is released. Until then, know that rakes are going to be being added!

Because of issues with layering and save data not being updated properly, version 2.1.0 is going to need to be delayed a little bit, at least until the latter is resolved. In the meantime, enjoy this icon for the first world!
