Hey guys and gals !
First of all thank you very much for the 95 follows and the great support , love you all :)
we really need your opinions on the lives system and difficulty for the story mode , to see if its fine as it is.
-The current base system is that you start with 3 lives and a full
health bar , when you advance to the next level some of your
health restore like this :
Easy 35%
Normal 15%
hard 5%
-when you die , you respawn in the current level , and when all 3
lives are gone you respawn in the last checkpoint.
There is a checkpoint in every : 3 levels in Easy , 5 levels in
Normal , 10 levels in Hard (which is half the total levels)
-As the main mechanic of the game and the plot point , is that
using your spear consumes your health as payment , a
successful hit regains the consumed health .
The amount of health consumed depends on the ability and
kind of attack (light/heavy) , so players should not miss their
attacks so they don’t waste health
-The general difference between difficulties are like this :
•Easy : slow and weak enemies , slow traps , you can get
health easily , +35% health every level , a checkpoint every 3 levels.
•Normal : average speed and strength enemies , normal speed
traps , average awareness for your health and management is
required , +15% health every level , a checkpoint every 5 levels.
•Hard : Faster and tougher enemies , Fast traps , heavy
management for your health is required because of the great
amount of HP you take from enemies , +5% health every level ,
one checkpoint in level 10.
There will also be rare lives pickups throughout the levels , and additional life after a specific score/points
we don’t want the game to be too hard like old retro games , neither too easy like some modern games.
What do you guys think of the base system and its numbers? does it need changes?
Thanks in advance :)
