Hey everybody, not a big update this time but I’m testing out some new things. First, I added a prototype intro sequence to the game. There’s also some new weapon animations for swarm launchers and a new achievement! Just about everything this update is missile themed.
Here’s the new achievement: Macross Misisle Multitude. You can get it if you drop at least 32 misisles out the hatch at once. Good luck setting up your new missilespam crafts!
There’s also new animations for the launcher doors on rank 3 swarm missile launchers. They now close while reloading and open when ready to fire. I figured this would be a good way to helpplayers coordinate salvos when using different types of launchers since a good gunship can shoot down misisles lickety-split. Right now it’s ONLY implemented for rank 3 swarm laucnhers, which you can get by using the powerups missile, upgrade, upgrade ingame. Since I’m still testing this feedback would be mucho appreciated.
Lastly there’s a prototype intro sequence that has your ship launched into the scene via a carrier rocket. I’ll probably be adding atmosphere effects and staging to the rocket within the next few builds alogn with some sound hopefully.
