Ok, so I got to playinig this game a bit more (By a bit I mean like 7 hours) and I've realized what an epic amount of time was put into it! I mean, when you first start out, the upgrade system may seem random, but you soon spot patterns in how these upgrades affect your ship, and exactly how you SHOULD upgrade becomes evident as you either choose a ship that can fire huge volleys straight, or rapid fire all around. I must admit, the music is very good for a 'shmup, and the particles are satisfying. I love how when killing enemies they randomly sometimes spit out an upgrade or two, and the way enemies that are more productive get placed back into the gene pool to augment and aid the later enemies.
Honestly, the only problem I have with this game is the fact that upgrades (And dead parts) from defeated ships are often times shot away, at speeds that I can hardly tell.
Space Rig Zeta works great on my old Windows XP computer flawlessly, with only occasional lag from HUNDREDS of bullets and missiles on-screen at the same time.
Thanks for such a fun game, and I look forwards to updates/sequels/more games from you! :D
This game is Badass!! A masterpiece! It really deserves more recognition than it has! I'll give it a 5 and a follow!
fun and addictive :)
Very fun game, the Trophy API wouldn't work for me (LINUX) and the only complaint I have about the game is how DIFFICULT it can be to hit enemies!
Haha, great game, very polished for only 3.2 MB!
I love this game. The only problem I have is slowing my ship down to change direction.
Space Rig Zeta is a 2d SHMUP with evolving player and AI ships. Collect pwoerups and upgrade your ship to keep pace with the AI's own evolving designs.
This game is still under development. Some screenshots may be a bit outdated but I'll try to make sure the media I post reflects the current state of the game. I'm going to try and keep the posted version bug-free and stable as I develop new features incrementally. Watch my news psots for this game for update info.
Controls are arrow keys/WASD and mouse. Left click to fire and right click to spin (comes in handy when you have a radially symmetrical ship.)
