New's Update #9 - Batch first, C# later.


School has started for me, and since development slowed down, C# won’t be possible until I release a stable version of BioFuse 0.3.1 in batch. It’s not that C# isn’t the ideal programming language, it’s just that I am taking AP Java Programming and found that the syntax was close, if not, almost the same. In my spare time, I have been looking further into batch and seeing what I can find, and I found quite a bit. Yes, I know that the batch version won’t include the ‘multiplayer’ or ‘Gamejolt API’ But most of the other options are entirely at my discretion as I venture through out the development.

So I’ve decided to compile a little list of what you can expect from the batch version and more versions to come…

  • Cleaner interfaces
    Now this means that my code will not only be cleaner, but easier to read.

  • Better Battles
    I have had all the options in the world to look off of ShubShub’s experiments, and I miiight have something in mind.

  • More Characters
    This, is still a questionable option. I was originally planning for the player to be able to choose other characters, It’s entirely possible

  • Colorful Text!
    Yes, I have been keeping that aside for now, but I’m willing to drag that idea from its’ grave. I hear TimeStreamer does it…

  • Reviving that damn auto-updater.
    I will be releasing a ‘fix 3’ in a few days from now or so, updating the links to the updater to the file storage.


This is one of the longer posts I’ve done. I should get to work…

Nearly forgot to show what my recycle bin looks like.

It's irritating to have a bunch of posts on a devlog right? That's why I use my profile to drop misc. leaks lol.

I finally figured out how to make an infinitely scaleable map navigator. Little crude in the gif itself but nothing a little polish won't fix.

This is indev version 1.0.7 so far. I need to add much much more logic to the inventory system I've got, it's still quite young. Just showing that I'm still here... ish?
