New Update Released + Plans for the future


  • Stairs now use a sloped collider, no visual change but climbing is now a lot easier

Thought I'd discuss my plans for the future of the game, I've got some ideas for potential balance changes and new features.

  • Survival Mode: More time between waves but zombies don't drop healy orbs, instead you have to grow food to survive, and there's more space to build. In this gamemode your base will save, but when you die it will be erased - it's a bit like Minecraft hardcore mode.

  • Sentry balance: As it is right now sentries are pretty OP, you can sorta just go AFK, let them kill all the zombies, come back and reap the rewards. While in the short term it might seem fun it quickly gets pretty boring. To counteract this, I want to make sentries require ammo, and you can put money into them to give them more ammo. Importantly, this process should take a few seconds and, importantly, you can only refill when they're completely empty. This should mean that every few waves you'll need to refill all your sentries, however, because refilling takes a few seconds, it's possible that if you have a lot of sentries some of them won't have ammo by the time the round begins. Furthermore, I think sentries should have lower health so that they can actually die, and a slower fire rate, since right now they can simply mow down zombies before they even get close to destroying them.

  • Grenade Launcher: I'd like to add a grenade launcher weapon, which shoots short-range projectiles with a slow firing rate, however, the projectiles will obviously explode, dealing damage in an area rather than hitscan, which every weapon currently is.
