So I’ve already figured out several reasons why the current version of BioFuse (0.2.0.4.3 and below) didn’t work as I’d like it to.
First would have to be the fact that as I’m skimming through the 2000+ lines that is the 0.2 update, is that I was overthinking the whole save system the entire time without thinking of a better way. My new better way is the use the Shubshub method. One folder for each save and then a whole subset of folder describing what your character is, and what stats they have, what weapons..
The weapons will be a whole new ballpark because they will have their own file that will be loaded up every battle, applying stats or taking away stats depending on what they do. It’ll be a whole lot easier on me to create new weapons as well if I can manage this.
Damage potions are a thing now too, just lob one at an enemy, and they’ll take a preset amount of damage!
Anyways, as for the people who requested access to the development, I apologize for not releasing anything for you. I’ve been juggling a lot of life problems lately and probably really need to get something out for you guys. Luckily, I’ve already added about a couple hundred lines of code for you to peek at. At the same time, I have been getting into the habit of adding comments to my code!
Aside from that, I’ll get back to you all later.
