If you haven't been paying attention to my profile, this is probably fresh news to you. I've been cranking away at this battle system with only a little irritation here or there. Before I start, here's a picture of me vaporizing a bunny. I didn't intend to have enemies have one last blow before they fully die but it made me laugh anyways.
I'm sure you've noticed that the status on both of us actually are doing things! Yes, health effects are now a pertinent part of BioFuse's code. Eventually I'll figure out why "spreading" makes the game crash, but this is becoming more and more complete and ready for release. I don't fully anticipate this going out until a few more days at least.
On another note, I haven't fully prepped EP powers. I was actually fully intending to do them but I got sorta hung up on statuses that I totally forgot about them! I'll be getting on that later on once it's fully working. I've had to offload some chunks of code into separate subroutine files because the main file couldn't handle it on its own. It's a shame, really.
Anyways, I'll be leaving off here with a little gif of me playtesting with the added bonus of me watching my save routine completely trash itself cause I moved the "sav" folder.
