I tried to program a functional hitbox for a "if you move, you die" type mechanic, this was the result. (ignore the character, I'm not going to make a design from scratch just for a stupid test)

I absolutely hate this game now..... (before playing it I thought it was a masterpiece, but then I saw how U N F A I R it is and I changed my mind)
