Next Build update


I was working in fully implement the stores but while testing the last build I realize that I’m only showing the happy pink world side of the game and I think that it gives the game the wrong idea of what it is about.

I mean maybe somebody get interested in the game and click on it because of the banner displayed or because they find interesting the description of the game talking about the devil and stuffs and when they come to see the game they only find a cute character that changes clothes with some silly NPC dialogues… and I don’t like that.

For that reason next build will try to give you more about the story and hopefully a taste of what I’m trying to achieve but it will take me some time to finish because before releasing a new build I have to finish:

-Some new animations
-A new enviroment (Place)
-Code an improvement to the platform part
-Properly design 1 level
-Code story thingies (dialogues, a NPC that decent follows you, NPC routines, etc)

Since I’m not a profesional animator or illustrator (not even close) and I haven’t found anyone that wants to help me with that part it takes me a lot of time to finish animations and also I have a lot of homework to do x_x so it may take me 2 weeks more until I upload a new build.

But I love to share the progress that I make so while I finish the new build I’ll post some news introducing characters that will be in the next build ^_^

Emma is the name of the blond girl which is Allisa’s best friend, every morning they go to school together.

The other girl name is… mm well she doesn’t have a name jajaja because actually it’s not important but her object in the game’s code is “G” so, let’s call her G. Her family is very religious but suddenly she started to feel pretty sick and started to hear some voices, her mother decided to ask for help to the priest that it’s close to their house. Do you belive in such things?

Also this 2 girls have a friend called David, I just have the “concept artwork” that I use to have a more clear idea to do the sprites so yeah take a look

He is really into new tech stuffs, he is pretty excited about the upcoming VR device that will release for smartphones soon.

By the way have you seen the game intro?, well there are 2 characters that appear there, that I’ll introduce to you

He is a pretty famous developer that created a revolutionary app that brings VR expirience to the next level.

She is in charge of the marketing of the new VR device, the new app and also works as the executive assistant of the company’s CEO.

Next up

Today I tweaked a little bit the face (Pic 1) and tested a few animations (gif). I was in an event from work so I couldn't progress that much but I want to have a better prototype build before February ends. See you soon! #shooter #anime

Lack of updates due to: - An event. (Pics) - Signed a contract to develop an app (ends July). 2 more apps in the queue - Improving and porting Void in the Sky (https://gamejolt.com/games/void-in-the-sky/406864) for PC and ??? (requires less time) - Still working on Soul Update

After doing some play-testing at the office, I concluded the following: - The shooting prototype will feel better with normal shooter movement. - The "Moral system" is engaging but needs more options. - 3rd person view feels good for exploration.

Paper prototype for the Leveling system based on a moral one finished! Unfortunately I can't share it since it is on paper, but tomorrow I'll start working on the digital one for the shooting part and if there is time this week I'll include this one on it

1st Digital prototype... almost finished.. due to "The genius" that crashed into an electricity pole near the office and I had to work on the prototype until 1 am :). Shooting is the only thing missing (Dash, aim + ray cast done). Will share it this week

We are going from left to right. Why? the answer soon. (Don't you think that peeking ear is cute? ) - Limitations: I have to deliver 2 non-game related projects so I'm doing progress but slowly, I work on parts that help me relieve stress from work.

Quick note: - I had an issue with animations but it got solved. (For prototyping) - I just delivered a project for a client. I'm working on a boring but useful app for another client. I won't be able to post frequently (gotta pay the bills). #shooter

I just finished the shooting part. I'll try upload this prototype and the paper one I did so I can receive feedback early. This are gameplay prototypes which means: It should feel engaging even with placeholders. Aesthetics come after it feels fun.

Instead of using the 3D model of a future game of mine (Last gif) I'll use this placeholder (more personalized) that shows the feel I'm trying to communicate in the game. I tried VRoid for 1 1/2 hour and I think I can use this model for prototypes

The prototypes build is ready and I was preparing a video for that post but I got a call today for a meeting tomorrow and I have to prepare some info TT_TT ... I'll post it tomorrow !
