Not so much of a success... by the godly amount of filler it had, but Boruto is back with a new and better than before style and personality.

End of the previous manga: After the events of Kawaki's betrayal and replacement of Boruto from the Uzumaki family, he is then left with a city full of people only knowing him as a traitor or even a criminal. In the attempt of the leaf village assasination, Boruto manages to escape along with Sasuke, his supposed teacher and now title as his new ”father”. Both Kawaki and Boruto posses an ability called Otsutsuki which can be deadly to the population. Kawaki was able to be forgiven from his ability as he has more knowledge on using it while Boruto was left to die due to his betrayal (the betrayal in question being that he is suspected of killing Naruto, the recent Hokage and his previous known father).

Introduction: Boruto has been hiding with Sasuke from the hidden village for almost 3 years, still on the loose. Uchiha Sarada, Sumire and Himawari are the only people who managed to keep their old memories about Boruto and know the true nature of Kawaki, but kept it hidden until the right moment. Sarada is still attempting to make people of who Boruto actually is, but its to no avail.

Later in the chapter it is revealed to us that even if Kawaki replaced Boruto's place in the family, he doesnt wanna keep the same relationships as him, trying to distance him away from his actuall friends, but keeping them to not raise suspicion.

Previously revealing only to the readers that hes the keeper of Naruto's body and soul in his alter dimension type of world.

In this chapter, a previous foe known to Boruto comes back to the leaf village with the objective to find Boruto after almost 2 years of searching him desperately. As a way to keep him out of hiding, he attacks the village with his minions ”claws”. He surrounds Sarada with his minions, knowing Boruto wont just let everybody he cared about die beacause he cant enter the village without being attacked. His plan succeds and Boruto kicks Code in the face as his first appearance in the chapter.

The chapter ends with a face off of the three arch enemies of the leaf village.

As a rating so far, its a short story yet, but as for an introduction into a new series of the ninja world its a 9/10.

The new Boruto is a mature and more precise than his younger version that was childish and stupid. Its a major likeable character development and im excited myself to see how the story continues foward.
