Next steps


Before I get too carried away building levels I want to get a few more basic systems in place. Stuff like a menu for exiting the game and maybe a UI for displaying things like how many times you died and how long you’ve been playing. And all this stuff should use the save system. Which I will probably want to have as a main game repo. Because I’ve decided I like having things split up into different git repos to help keep everything more modular.

I should also see about figuring out something for the player character so I’m not just completely ripping off Eye Must Jump.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
