NightLight First Look!

Hi Everyone! We really appreciate all the input we’ve received so far in all our work and the continued support!

Our last update talked about the future developments of Happy Little Cloud. We’re now at the stage where we’re excited to start sharing the development of NightLight, our latest game.

NightLight is a game based around a little girl’s teddy bear called Patches. Patches protects the girl as she sleeps, defending her against her nightmares.

The game is created in two very distinct styles. The girl’s bedroom is a fully interactive 3D environment that acts as a hub for the main story line.

From here the player will enter the girl’s nightmares each night and transition from a 3D world to a 2.5D adventure where Patches will be tasked with defeating the nightmare the girl is currently experiencing.

We’re really excited about this project and we’re looking forward to showing you all more as we continue to work on it. In the near future we’ll be creating a NightLight page on GameJolt where we’ll be uploading a demo and sharing development progress.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

"Day to Day" (also check spud out here he's a great guy and writer: https://soundcloud.com/spudward)

not the greatest house, but it's a house! :D

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)
