I’ve spent last three days of my life to trying make some build for MacOSX.
At first, macbook very expensive for me (equal to 4 months of my full-time job only), so I can’t buy it.
Because of that I tried to build it on virtual machine. Ok, there is another thing - MacOSX hasn’t any trial version. I found hacked image but it can’t build game without xCode. And if anyone know MacOSX require inhumanity resources. I have 4gb RAM and quad core with x64 instructions. But macOS slow as fat snail. Anyway, I installed xCode. It took about 6 hours and I wasted my day because I can’t work on the PC at this moment (because of virtualized MacOSX it was CRAZY SLOW). After installation I tried to run xCode but it showed me that my OS is old for this application. Ehhhh… I afraid, older version of xCode can’t compile my game. New MacOSX versions (like Maverik) require 12gb RAM (OH MY GOD!). What the f**k? Are you serious, guys?
I don’t want to spend more time to trying install xCode and another software needed for mac build. So I’ll make mac build when Apple will support EASY virtualisation, trial version of their OS and so on, and so on. But these thing will never be. So I won’t support MacOS NEVER. IT’S EXPENSIVE, DIFFICULT, HARD.
If someone of mac user consider that I’m not right, please try run my game from MacOSX through VirtualBox(it’s free) with Ubuntu image(it’s free too). And with Wine emulation. I think, you’ll feel the same ass-pain which I felt last three days.
Thanks for attention.
