Hey, everyone. I figured we should update people on development of the game, and I also figured maybe we'll make this a monthly thing. It depends on my attention span!
So that last teaser, huh? We're super proud of it, both in how nice it looks and the writing for the newspaper. You can expect more things like this in the game - All teaser material will be viewable in-game as either collectibles, or Extras content to view. We're committed to making sure everything in this game's story is obtainable and digestible in the game itself.
However, I'm sure some people may be asking about, where's some gameplay footage? Or looks at the enemies? To that I'd like to remind everyone that we're intentionally taking development slow so as to get our bearings, make sure everything is perfect, and not cut any corners unless absolutely necessary. It may take a while before we can show gameplay footage, or in-depth looks at the Circus Killers (as Teaser 3 calls them).
As I mentioned in the past, the main roadblock in the development of NO PLACE LIKE HOME is asset creation. As you can see by Teaser 1, environmental modelling is going great - however, our character models are taking a long while. Slow and steady, right? I promise it'll be worth it in the end. This is why we've been taking a gameplay-first approach when it comes to NPLH, making sure that the game's programming, gameplay, balancing, and AI are all perfect while we slowly make progress on assets. This game may not completely define FNAF fangames or anything like that, but we're pretty confident in how fun and scary it will be.
Despite these things, we still have something to offer you. It's no teaser, but we figured we could provide another rough look at a character we teased when we published the game page. Mysko made it - he did a great job! Mind GameJolt's compression - we've uploaded the picture to our Twitter if you want a better look:
Frightmare Studios on Twitter: "Updated look at the Clown: https://t.co/wmiGPn5W1f" / Twitter
In the coming months, we'll try our best to provide a more in-depth look at NPLH's characters, including more renders.
Thank you for reading and taking interest in our game. Have a nice day and be sure to lock your doors.
(Not that it'll matter.)
