Introducing Teaser 4.
So, first of all, WE HIT 1000 FOLLOWERS. Wow! That's incredible, and I'm so grateful that so many people are interested in our project. Thank all of you for taking a look at NO PLACE LIKE HOME. We still have a lot in store... like a look at NO PLACE LIKE HOME'S basement.
(If any of these images look compressed, download 'em. That's GameJolt's fault, not ours!)
The basement is a dank, creepy room connected directly to the office our protagonist stays in during the main game. The Circus Killers can sneak in here in an attempt to ambush our protagonist - you'll have to be observant and quick to blockade the basement door when needed.
We've been pretty silent recently. That's because we're hard at work on some things, and balancing our personal lives with development. As I've mentioned in the past, making NO PLACE LIKE HOME isn't a job - it's a hobby. We all have lives outside of this fangame, and I'm committed to making sure it's only developed in our spare time, at a pace that doesn't stress out devs, encourage us to rush development, or cause burnout. That means it takes a while to finish high quality textures for the Circus Killers, or organic rigs for their models, or realistic environments! Those are the things we've been focusing on a lot recently.
I'm also committed to making sure this fangame becomes reality, even if it takes a while for us to give updates sometimes. I try to give ETAs on when we have more to show, but unexpected developments sometimes happen. Sorry for that. You can always join our official Discord server and ask us what's up! We give some exclusive updates there that are too small for GameJolt.
What we're aiming for in the future: A full showcase of the Mantis similar to the Clown's, as well as some additional renders to ooh and ahh at. A more technical devlog is on the way as well, written by Technical Director Amara and discussing some aspects of the game's programming. After that, we're hoping to give a look at NO PLACE LIKE HOME's third enemy - The Butcher.
We'll see you around.
