Not Alone v1.5 : Gameplay Improvements... And Trophies... And Leaderboard!

When I released Not Alone, I said that I wouldn’t change or update it and leave it as it is. I just lied.

New Features

  • Depression Vortex : it will chase you through all 5 levels, going faster and faster. Easy on first levels.

  • Beers : Fortunately, you can have a beer and freeze the depression for a few seconds. BUUUT, it will then become angry, growing and getting a boost. You can use up to 3 beers in a level. Use with caution.

  • Trophies : Added 8 trophies. I hope they are balanced. Tell me if too easy or too hard to get.

  • Leaderboard : Just like trophies, I made this mostly to play with GameJolt API. But as any leaderboard, it is still quite fun to try to climb the ladder.

Main reason I made these changes was that some of you guys found the game a bit boring and repetitive. And you were right. So I tried to make it less boring. This is still some kind of prototype, but I hope you’ll enjoy.

More information regarding the update can be found here : http://captainnono.blogspot.fr/2013/05/not-alone-update-v15.html

And now I really promise I will let the game as it is and focus on something else. Probably something happier, and probably with Twine :-)

Cheers!

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
