Not Worthy of its Name

Today’s game is Glitchling. As awesome as I think the name is, I cannot say the same for the game. I wasn’t sure what to work on, so I worked on some 3D- -looking 2D thing for the first fifteen minutes, quit that, and then worked on this project for the other forty-five.

In Glitchling, you play as a small purple ship that can upgrade itself by collecting the white plus signs. With every next upgrade your ship can fire one more bolt at a time; making it much easier to dismantle the eery red faces that sit around the playing field. I wasn’t able to add them in-game, so here are the instructions…

WASD to move

Left click to shoot

Fight! I was able to make a two player game today. Fight! has you commandeering either the red or green ship, and then blasting your foe to bits. Also, as of today, this project is twenty-percent complete.

Blue and Green Today’s game is rather difficult to explain. On one hand it is an arena shooter; on the other hand, it has small traces of yesterdays game in it. It can also be a one-player or two-player game. Anyway, heres a screenshot.

Heartless I decided to leave out the sprite for jumping today. Instead, I focused my time on adding in two different weapons (a rifle and a rocket launcher), and some destrucible terrain.

The Twenty-second Day

Terminal Today’s game is a point and click called Terminal. You explore the floating city of terminal from its warehouse to its hangars while learning about its inhabitants and how they treat you.

A Basic Platformer I’m taking back what I said yesterday, and am dedicating the rest of this week to making platformers. Today’s went very well. I was able to add in a shooting mechanic, destructible boxes, a life system, and an automatic door.

World Map 2 This is probably more a map of places than an actual world map. Anyway, the game is called Liabus; you scroll through the four places that occupy the land of liabus, and read a short description on each of them.

Lost Mage Today’s game is Lost Mage. You wander around as a lost mage, pick up articulate mage staffs, and notice vague references to previous games.

No More Shops! Today’s game is a, finally, working shop menu. You switch between buying and selling a very small collection of items, (potions, ethers, and somas) and because I had extra time, I was able to add some sounds.

Did you know that today is #InternationalJazzDay? 🎷😎

No? 😯 Well, we couldn't pass up this date!

And what better to celebrate this day than #Pecaminosa #OST? 🎷

Let us know what you think about it and have a great weekend!
