I believe it's been 5 months since the last devlog, which covered new gameplay to puzzle mechanics, as well as following the release of new soundtracks, and the creation of our official Soundcloud Page!
Wow, it feels like an eternity! This time, we bring you some updates regarding our...
NEW™️, UPDATED™️ and UPGRADED™️ IN-GAME MENU!
... As well, as The Sewers’ miniboss + miniboss theme reveal. First, let's get started with...
As stated above, we went ahead and revamped the in-game menu interface to compress all of the existing features into a comprehensive environment!
Let's take a look.
As shown above, the menu now fully supports party member tabs, as well as up to 6 options!
Everything the screenshot provides must be pretty self-explanatory (item for items, stat for stats, turn for switching who you control, and config for settings configuration). The only interesting thing there is to mention is the addition of a new way to get extra strength. Introducing... GEAR!
Additional gear that can be equipped through the ITEM menu will provide extra attack and defense stats, as well as occasionally useful passive effects, primarily in battles (increased invincibility, speed and etc.).
Huge props to @Radiaction for designing this amazing menu!! It's really sick hahah.
We're proud to announce that the appearance of our lovely Miniboss for The Sewers has been finalized. Not only that, but you also get to hear the theme of this energetic and playful monster!
Have a peek.
Tortule is back, slightly polished and ready to rumble!
His art, sprites and boss theme are now available on the game page, as well as our SoundCloud!
Aside from the updated in-game menu, the reveal of Tortule and his boss theme, we also updated several previously released soundtracks.
Those soundtracks include:
We're Starting!; PurrSum
Back Home; PurrSum
Both soundtracks are now available in updated form on the game page, as well as on our SoundCloud.
Another minor thing to be discussed here is the disappearance of the Undertale Purple Demo, which created countless questions regarding it.
The decision was mostly rushed and left undiscussed, primarily because I saw the build not being up to the current standards and quality.
I'm assuming the demand to play the legacy demo is and was always very high, so we should've addressed this in an earlier devlog. That, or we should've never removed the legacy demo without proper consideration. insert generic YouTube apology video here
Also, keep in mind that NO BUGS WILL BE FIXED.
The Legacy Demo is now available on our Discord Server. Go ahead and play it if you haven't yet, or if you want to experience the demo again!
Also, keep in mind that NO BUGS WILL BE FIXED. (2.0)
And yet another minor but interesting thing to mention, you can now check out our sort-of-a-website for the game.
Alright, it looks like we've reached the bottom of this devlog. Sadly, the progress has been a little slow ever since the last devlog, but we're still working hard to bring this game's demo to the table!
There's something about the demo that extends the development time quite a bit, but I can say for sure that it will be worth the little extra wait.
Thank you a lot for reading through these huge blocks of text! Consider joining our Discord Server, following our official Soundcloud Page, and, well, staying tuned for more updates to come!
Rest assured, they will come, eventually... but before then, we'll all have to stay a little patient and persevere through this. See you then!
