Okay, patch 1.0.3 is up now.

This patch is a pretty hefty one. It introduces several changes that make the earlygame (which is, like, the entire demo) less punishing, and more.

I appreciate any feedback I get. That is why I released the demo, after all...

Be careful when importing saves. Since some objects and events were moved around, you may end up stuck in unexpected places. The encyclopedia may have issues updating as well.

-The Ranger Handbow now grants +2 Def instead of +2 Mdf

-The Ranger Handbow has had its price increased from 70 to 100

-Red Potions, Purple Potions, and the Mist versions restore 10 more HP

-Every party member now has 10 more MHP

-Weakened and adjusted a few Murkwoods enemies

-Fire Wolf Atk 27 -> 25

-Fire Wolf has an additional weakness

-Bereskarn Atk 29 -> 27

-Bereskarn MHP 400 -> 360

-Bereskarn Mdf 21 -> 18

-Bereskarn Agi 24 -> 21

-The Bereskarn now has a 1/5 chance of dropping a healing item

-The boss's Blue Moon is slightly weaker and has a bit more of an act speed delay

-The Murkwoods has had some corridors widened up and some enemies moved around to make the area feel less cramped and make avoiding enemies easier

-Added some objects to prevent walking up and down some cliffs in the Deeper Murkwoods

-Fixed a typo after the Murkwoods' boss

-Adjusted a few Olrock Cave enemies

-Cave Crab M.Atk 15 -> 14

-Wraith Lck 26 -> 22

-Wraith has an additional weakness

-Stoneprowler Atk 27 -> 26

-Stoneprowler Mdf 19 -> 17

-Stoneprowler now has a 1/5 chance of dropping a battle item

-Olrock Cave has had some enemies moved around to make avoiding them slightly easier

-Added a couple of roads near Olrock in the Human Kingdom overworld map to make navigation a little easier

-Added an opening in the cliffs north of the Olrock area

-Scrapped some dialogue that would appear when entering the capital with Kivari

-Scrapped some dialogue where Ardain flirts with a maid because it came off a bit creepy

I experimented with battle start animations in RPG Maker VX Ace and made a good few of them. I may make more if there's any demand. I could make a tutorial for how to make these, too...

Now, our somewhat experienced adventurers can complete their quest to deal with a certain troublesome treasure.

The main story is about 4-5 hours long, with some optional stuff here and there.

kyletower 1.0.6 patch notes

Some of the changes here were based on a review on the rpgmaker.net page.

The game is a bit more difficult now, but the XP and Sil pool is larger to compensate.

We’re adding a container system allowing interaction with objects like tables and shelves, marked on the map. The "Container" view adapts to the hero’s appearance. This enhances immersion, while classic chests remain unchanged for player convenience.

The sequel to The Tower of KYLE now has it's own game page (linked below)! It'll be rather longer than its predecessor, so I'll need a while to work on it. I plan to release a demo next month, though.
