Part 1...

Today’s (actual) game is Desert Orc. It’s a simple tower defense with a few problems. I attempted to add as much as I could, but in the process (through lack of playtesting) it acquired some glitches. It’s still playable, but its also glitchy.

Anyway, I am now officially halfway through this project. Sadly, I’m going to have to split the project up into two parts. I would like to keep all the games in one file, but the file I’m making these in is starting to take a while to load. Since I playtest the game while the clock is still ticking, I have to deal with that loading bar quite often; and I’m getting the feeling its going to start really cutting in on the hour time limit unless I split this project up.

Terminal Today’s game is a point and click called Terminal. You explore the floating city of terminal from its warehouse to its hangars while learning about its inhabitants and how they treat you.

Lost Mage Today’s game is Lost Mage. You wander around as a lost mage, pick up articulate mage staffs, and notice vague references to previous games.

World Map 2 This is probably more a map of places than an actual world map. Anyway, the game is called Liabus; you scroll through the four places that occupy the land of liabus, and read a short description on each of them.

The Twenty-second Day

A Basic Platformer I’m taking back what I said yesterday, and am dedicating the rest of this week to making platformers. Today’s went very well. I was able to add in a shooting mechanic, destructible boxes, a life system, and an automatic door.

Blue and Green Today’s game is rather difficult to explain. On one hand it is an arena shooter; on the other hand, it has small traces of yesterdays game in it. It can also be a one-player or two-player game. Anyway, heres a screenshot.

Heartless I decided to leave out the sprite for jumping today. Instead, I focused my time on adding in two different weapons (a rifle and a rocket launcher), and some destrucible terrain.

Fight! I was able to make a two player game today. Fight! has you commandeering either the red or green ship, and then blasting your foe to bits. Also, as of today, this project is twenty-percent complete.

No More Shops! Today’s game is a, finally, working shop menu. You switch between buying and selling a very small collection of items, (potions, ethers, and somas) and because I had extra time, I was able to add some sounds.
