Some to me more unusual things went into the development of this game. I fired up Sculptris for the first time in many months, in order to sculpt and paint the body parts of the weakling and Auntie creatures.
And to make Auntie walk, I took to Spriter Pro. A great tool, which I’m still in the process of learning how to use effectively. This marks the first time I ever released something done with this application.
Results may not have turned out to be earth-shattering, but I was quite pleased how it came all together with the use of textures made from photographs and heavy noise and crt filters.
I could only complete the experience with the help of Gheist, who provided the superbly fitting background track as well as the footstep sounds. You should check out his amazing work over on SoundCloud.
For the time after the voting period I have already a new build ready, which addresses some issues that came up and improves the game in a few areas. I do also plan to use Weaklings for my overdue first implentation of the GJ API. Achievements here I come…
Speaking of voting: presently you can still cast your vote in the Asylum Jam. ;)
