Patch 1.0.1 Notes


Patch 1.0.1 will be releasing on 23rd October.
This patch contains serious bug fixes and balance adjustments.
Version 1.0.0 saves are compatible with this version.
To use your saves from Version 1.0.0, go into the game’s source folder and copy/cut the Save[Number] files to the new, Version 1.0.1 source folder.

Balance Changes
—-Enemy—-

  • The ATK stat of the foe, Bat, has been reduced from 35 to 30.

  • The ATK stat of the foe, Lava Lizard, has been reduced from 100 to 85.

  • The EXP recieved by the foe, Slime, has been increased from 3 to 10.

  • The EXP recieved by the foe, Bat, has been increased from 12 to 15.

  • The HP of the foes: Cockatrice, Mountain Clawler and Zombie have been slightly increased.
    Furthermore, the DEF and MDEF stat of both the Cockatrice and Zombie has been increased to 55, with the Zombie having 65 MDEF.

  • The HP of the foes: Gargoyle, Mimic and Imp has been decreased by 1000.
    These foes now yield more EXP:
    Gargoyle: 800 -> 900EXP
    Mimic: 1500 -> 1700EXP
    Imp: 850 -> 900EXP
    The currency dropped from Gargoyle has been decreased from 58 to 50.

  • The chance that the foe, Zombie, would inflict Poison on attack has been decreased to 12%. Zombie no longer has any resistance to Blind.

  • Shadow, on the second encounter, has a lower chance to execute another action in the same turn. His ATK stat has been reduced from 100 to 90.

  • The base damage of Heavy Shot has been decreased from 335 to 135.
    The damage formula has been changed so that more damage is dealt based on user’s ATK.
    The chance to inflict Stun has been decreased to 20%.

  • The MP cost of Shoulder Tackle has been increased to 10.

  • The base damage of Cleave II has been decreased from 800 to 500. The damage of the skill can now result in a critical hit.

  • Fire Fury now also grants the effect of Resist Fire.
    The cooldown has been negated.

Major Fixes

  • Removed the tile in Mount Clairvoyance, which had no collision attached, so the player could move out of bounds in the area.

  • The victory aftermath no longer turns off at certain intervals in the game.
    This causes text which appears during battle, not fade at the end of battle - leaving it on the screen, unless another battle is entered or the game restarted.

  • The sidequest which involves finding a book from the Fortuneseeker is now unlocked when Redlac joins the party for the first time. This change has fixed a sprite issue wherein the Fortuneseeker sprite for the quest would also appear with the other Fortuneseeker sprite used for the main story before Redlac joins the party.
    To correspond with this change, after completing the “Find Otroots” sidequest in Prevesta Inn, the system will no longer display a message saying this sidequest has been unlocked.

Minor Fixes

  • Fixed an issue wherein a piece of text would appear small during the ending.

  • Removed the text “inflict Stun” on the Water and Wind Tackle tooltips, as the actual skills would not inflict Stun.

  • Some spelling mistakes have been corrected.

Workarounds

  • Access to the Overworld through Valen Waterway has been temporarily
    disabled after defeating Shadow, but re-enabled once the Tower of Darkness is cleared.
    This is so the player cannot be locked out of re-entering the Waterway, once
    in the Overworld -
    being unable to progress the game as a result, if they have just defeated Shadow with U’vharr, Elsay, Kurone and Cassopeia.

Other Changes

  • The gab (idle chatter) in Ancarna Library and The Kingdom of Lucae has been disabled after a certain point in the main story.

  • The design of certain areas in Mount Clairvoyance have been altered so they look more natural.

  • The encounter rate in Valen Plains has been increased.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
