Here's the entire list of changes and other stuff:
FIXES:
- Made it so that you can flash the doors even if they're closed, to FINALLY fix the unintended RNG problems with Orjia (Thank you Heisenbergus for the suggestion)
- Fixed an issue with the black bars showing up when playing in windowed mode (I have no idea why this even happened, lol)
- Fixed a layering issue with the darkness border in the cameras (the characters were above it)
- Fixed a small visual bug in the settings menu
- Fixed a bug where the game would send you to the Beaten Easy Mode message if you played the custom night and weren't in max mode
- Fixed the cameras sometimes taking away more power than intended
- Fixed the classic scrolling, it works much better now. Also fixed all of the scrollings breaking when minimazing the game
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS:
- The plushies now show up on the menu's background once you unlock them
- Added a new sound effect for the beaten night messages (it was always meant to be in the game but I forgot to add it LOL)
- The Escape key now takes you to the menu instead of closing the game (except for when you're in certain frames)
- Added a cooldown for the door characters, so there shouldn't be any unfair situations when opening or closing the doors
- You can now restart the night by pressing R
- Made it so that Golden Latisha can only appear on the menu after beating Easy Mode, and Orjia after Hard Mode
- Balanced the door flashes so that you can't spam them nilly-willy anymore. They now take a good chunk of power away if Orjia isn't at the door (also made them less epileptic)
- Nerfed the Smack button so that you only have to click it 10 times to shoo Jairo away, instead of 15 (because spam-clicking is DUMB)
- Reworked the ambiences so that they can only play once per night
- Also reworked the Max Mode ambiences so that they aren't the only ones that play during Max Mode, rather, they just have a chance of showing up
- You can now hold left click in the Custom Night to increase or decrease a character's AI automatically
- Made it so that you can't press "ctrl + s" to mute the game now, as some mechanics were tied to specific sounds playing
- Made the rare screens more common (they barely ever appeared before)
- Added a new visual effect when starting the night
- Added an option to delete your save data in the settings menu
- Added a background to all of the frames that used to have a boring black void
- Made the scrolling on the menu smoother
OTHER STUFF:
- Optimized some parts of the code
- Recoded the night system and the Custom Night (they now use global values instead of the INI)
- Properly attached almost all sound effects to sound channels, so they shouldn't have a problem with playing anymore (and lowered the volume of the static throughout the whole game by 25% because it killed my ears)
- Reduced the game's file size by almost half
- The game now uses Direct3D 11, also comes unpacked to avoid false positives (this is my first time releasing an unpacked game, so I may have fucked something up, tell me if that's the case)
- And probably some other small details I have forgotten about
Woah... that was a lot, wasn't it?
It was nice to return to this game after 4 months. It felt like a breath of fresh air.
Specially because I kinda missed it, not gonna lie. Developing it was so fun...
But now I have to return to the Five Nachos Number 5.
See you on the flipside!
