Hi guys,
Sorry about the lack of update last week! Back to normal now, though as you can probably tell from the banner the big thing this week is gonna be merch related...

You guys seemed to love the Stone LOL emoji last week, but now it's gone. Forever. Probably. To take its place, introducing Angry Morse! Very versatile. Drawn by Ellie as usual. Enjoy!
FNAC & POPGOES Game Jolt Art Contest:
You might have already seen this, but @Emilmacko and I have teamed up with Game Jolt to create an official art contest celebrating the worlds of Five Nights at Candy's and POPGOES! And with real prizes!

You can learn more about this special event, including its awesome FNAF themed prizes, in my post here, or by accessing the Game Jolt quest which is active right now!
A quick heads up that, unfortunately, only US residents are able to receive physical prizes. But I will be acknowledging lots of participants in the event, so if you're someone who likes making fanart of the games in the CPU, you should totally take part regardless!
Good luck, and have fun!
POPGOES Evergreen:
We have recently run into another hiccup in Evergreen's development, being that one of our most important modellers/animators has disappeared... for a second time. This person has done this a few times and I don't think it has ever been due to a serious issue, thankfully, but it is still incredibly inconvenient for me and the team. Because of this, I have begun seeking out a new potential team member to fill this crucial role for the game.
In the meantime, I have been writing up some documentation for the post-night sections of the game, to get things finalised and ready for new model work (which would be handled mostly by the potential newcomer). These new versions of the post-nights are simple in theory, but the concepts I have in mind for the gameplay are actually quite difficult to balance in my head. I've spoken to some people outside of the team for feedback, like Phisnom, and we're definitely getting somewhere.
As for actual progress I can show, there's unfortunately nothing this week! Some of us have been busy with non-POPGOES things, OR we've worked on Evergreen content that we've gotta keep private! And that's bound to happen sometimes!
But how about an amazing t-pose render of Halfway Freddy?

What a weirdo.
I will say, I was given the unfortunate news that Dawko's charity stream, which we have been preparing a cool showcase for, has been delayed to sometime next month. So please stay tuned for that. As a treat though, I'll let you see the icon for the .exe we'll be giving Dawko:
If you're wondering what the previous icons looked like (since I don't think Dawko actually ever shows what he has downloaded), then here!

We hope you're excited for that showcase when it's shown off, and I apologise for the lack of Evergreen news this week. I mean, shit, you guys got the FNAF movie trailer and the Security Breach Ruin DLC reveal within the past few days anyway!
But there is more stuff to share...
myPOPGOES:
A few weeks ago I talked about the "character cartridges" which will be available in myPOPGOES as unlockable items that let you play as different characters. These were modelled and rendered by NeeTroo, but as you guys know by now, everything in myPOPGOES has a hand-drawn style executed by Sian / Turntail. It's nothing too exciting, but it's worth mentioning that these cartridges have now been traced over by Sian so that they match that cool aesthetic:

Also, some exciting things are happening behind the scenes with myPOPGOES, but nothing I can talk about right now. I imagine I'll be able to share some great news sometime in June. Only a few people are working on this game now, so don't worry about us prioritising it over Evergreen. We hope to get everything done for myPOPGOES soon!
Here's a question though actually: How much would you pay for a premium version of myPOPGOES on PC? This would include new challenges, unlockable stickers, playable characters (with different stats), variants of the toy, lore pages, a new ending cutscene/screen, and some more. Let me know!
Merch:
Possibly the coolest thing this week...
I've been given permission by Youtooz to give an exclusive reveal of the progress on their upcoming Sitting Popgoes Plushie. This has been in the works for a short while and lots of progress has been made on it, to make it as cute as possible. While the Funko Popgoes plushie has an unbeatable goofiness, and the Hex Popgoes plushie has the awesome magnet feature, I think the goal of the upcoming Youtooz Sitting Popgoes plushie is to just be downright adorable!
This is the first phase of the sitting Popgoes plushie, which was completed sometime last month:

Honestly an amazing first attempt! But a little too cartoony, and perhaps a little too "swollen" in the face. Like he eated a bee. So the goal from here was to round out the head, make the facial features smaller, remove the black outlines, stuff like that.
Which led us to this brand new second version:

Holy moly! What a massive upgrade. I found it much harder to find suggestions from this stage, but I did have some pointers which Youtooz are taking into consideration for a potential third attempt. These were:
Adjust the colours for the light and dark brown body fur
Lower facial features slightly, can make chin smaller in this process
Nose, eyebrows, and paw pads should actually be a dark brown colour
Nose should be moved up a bit so it's on the "edge" of the snout
The hat ribbon should be a bit larger/taller, and his eyes should lean more into blue than yellow
When I make these suggestions for merch companies, I will always make a mockup edit to help visualise the changes, so here's what I made for this:

And of course this is just the perfect version of the product in my eyes - it's entirely possible that Youtooz won't be able to capture everything in this edit perfectly, and that's fine! But I thought it'd be nice to share what our next goal is with this product.
So what do you think?!
Youtooz continues to be a champion in cooperating with the Fanverse devs, offering so many awesome products for us to work on, and for you to get your hands on! There is even more Fanverse stuff coming from Youtooz, and not just from POPGOES!
Alrighty, that's it today! I will be keeping a close eye on all of the submissions in the art contest. Thanks for reading!
