🌞 Pre-Dev Log #4: Waves, Fire, and Darkness – The Four Faces of Sunshine 🌊🔥🌑

Hey there, everyone. It’s been a moment. Thank you all for the patience while I took a small breather—and also, celebrated my birthday 🎉 (yup, May 14th!). I’m back now, and ready to share something big.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been outlining what I can confidently call the core identity of the Sunshine Daycare series. This isn’t just one game—it’s an evolving horror anthology, told through four unsettling, interconnected chapters.

Let’s go ahead and break them down 👇


☀️ 1. Sunshine Daycare: The Original Location

Status: To be developed last.
Engine: UE5 or Unity (TBD)

This is where it all started... but it’s also where everything ends.

Set in the original Sunshine Daycare facility before the chaos, this game will be the final piece of the puzzle. You’ll take on the role of a new employee unaware of the facility’s cursed foundation. Expect rich lore, detailed AI behaviors, and the darkest secrets the franchise has to offer.


🛳️ 2. Nightmare Before the Consequences

Status: In early planning.
Setting: A moving cruise ship transporting animatronics.

You’re not stuck in a static room—you’re drifting at sea.

You play as a nighttime guard on board a cruise liner meant to deliver animatronics from the wreckage of Sunshine Daycare to a containment facility. But something went wrong. No cameras. No map. Just sound and a flashlight. Your only clue? Footsteps. Groans. Whispers. You’re blind in the dark ocean—good luck staying afloat.


🔆 3. Five Days at Sunshine Daycare (FDaSD)

Status: In development.
Gameplay: Classic FNaF-style office survival, but during the daytime.

This flips the script. No more 12AM shifts. You’re working in broad daylight—but that doesn’t mean you’re safe.

FDaSD follows you through five “normal” workdays, with each day escalating in horror. There’s no Jammer system like in later entries. You’re defenseless except for wits and timing. It introduces a cast of characters like Sunny-Bun, Bella Blocks, Captain Tickle, Mr. Smile, and NapNap in their “original” forms.


🔥 4. Sunshine Daycare: As Above, So Below (AASB)

Status: Mid-development planning.
Tone: Surreal, apocalyptic, final chapter vibe.

This is the aftermath.

You play as a lone survivor trapped in the ruins of Sunshine Daycare following a massive fire. The building is decaying, the systems are broken, and the animatronics? Mangled. Haunted. Glitched. This game features the advanced Jammer System, a terminal panel for Tasks, Systems, and Defense. Your enemies include:

  • Prototype Sunny-Bun

  • Worn-down Captain Tickle

  • Torn Bella Blocks

  • NapNap

  • Mr. Smiled

  • SADTRACKED AI

AASB is only 3 nights long, but every night grows increasingly brutal, with a story that ends the entire timeline in darkness—no good ending. Only survival. Barely.


🚨 Where Are We Now?

Right now, development focus is on Five Days at Sunshine Daycare, with AASB being planned closely behind.
There’s no official release schedule yet, and we haven’t started coding or building packages—but the ideas? They’re cooking. 🔥

  • Finalize the voice lines for Lena and SADTRACKED AI

  • Continue building gameplay mechanics for FDaSD

  • Begin teasing the AASB aesthetic and vibe

  • Plan replayability features like Custom Night Challenges


💬 Final Thoughts

This series is my passion project—and it's slowly becoming something really special. This isn’t just “another FNaF clone.” This is Sunshine Daycare.
