Project concluded

With the 0.1.0 release, the very limited initial scope of the project has been reached. I started it with hopes of getting a game done within a year, but that stretched to 2½ years. The scope has been kept quite small, and more or less as initially designed. Currently, there are barely any challenges in the game, and only four building types and three terrain types. 30 minutes is probably more than enough to experience most of the things the game has to offer.

I will be taking a break from the game now, but I might return later to fix some issues, balance the game out a bit more, or even expand on it, but no promises.

Getting there

I've been hard at work trying to get this game done. It's still missing things such as UI tweaks, colour balancing, audio, gameplay balancing, bug fixes, testing, etc., but it is going somewhere!

Restricting the build area

We are under attack!

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

Runestones: from concept to in-game model🗿

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

Explosive domino effect

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
