Rebuilding the level select for world 1

Recently, a substantial effort has been made to update some of the older art assets for The Cardinal Crusade. Since the game has been in development for as long as 3 years, some of those older graphics are pretty dated by our new standards. Chief amongst these are the level select graphics for the first two worlds.

Above, you can see the new and improved graphics, whilst below, you can see the old one. We are happy with the improvement and hope you will be too, once the game releases! :D

Greetings!

We have been working hard on Eldritchvania, and we got some exciting news to share! We are almost content complete! That means that all main features of the game are finished, and we'll be moving on to the polish stage soon!

The end is drawing near!

Eldritchvania is drawing ever nearer its completion. We are still working on polishing everything, adding sounds and vfx. We wont be announcing any release dates...yet. But know that exciting... and horrible things await you...

Eldritchvania polish is continuing! This week I made some improvements to the options menu. Old ( top) vs New ( bottom). The new menu is more in line with our other UI, and also has some extra options which have been in our backlog for a while!

A transformation Hello, in this devlog we’re showcasing an animation where the player character transforms into a smaller, flesh monster. Why is this in the game? What purpose does it serve? Perhaps more will be revealed soon…

Looking to polish up some of our older enemies. I remade the walking animation for this enemy. The old one (top) wasn't really conveying the motion very well. The new one is a bit more frantic but I think it creates a far more interesting impression.

A look at a new enemy: The Core Guards Today we would like to show off one of the new enemies that you will encounter in world 3. These large, brutish soldiers are well armoured and will surely put up a fight! … Even if they have apples for heads.
