I forgot to show more of the battle (literally as midnight passes), but I technically have the items made as well, you can swap armor in here, and have special behavior for the items being used inside the battle and outside the battle, I don't have any example of that but it is coded in.
You can make it so enemies can attack and have dialog before they are fully spared or killed, the system has a nice way of telling if you did kill or spare a specific enemy for whatever need you could use for, and have special stuff happen to the overworld and define the routes that way basically.
The only thing that I would be lacking would be the menu attacks, but that shouldn't be too hard to set up really, that and attacks that just happen and you leave the battle interface, after that maybe the battle system would be done and the whole system would be complete I believe.
