Pong: RELOADED

Reworked the ball movement to work more with physics.

Before, the ball worked entirely on angle calculations when it hit a surface and set it's speed and direciton accordingly. Though this did work as a quick and easy solution, but it also created moments where the ball could get stuck, move slow, or not take a surface it's already touching into consideration for its bounce angle.

Although it does still use angle calculations, it'll adjust it's speed to where it needs to be, applies the force rather than setting the direction and speed directly, and allows for extra cool effects on the ball (currently, the ball gets a small "initial boost" which looks satisfying with the trail.

So what's next for the game? More hazards, and more level templates. I'll also be looking for a song artist able to produce music that mixes themes of chiptune from the games Crawl and Undertale.

And if you haven't yet, GO PLAY https://gamejolt.com/games/towerclimbers/757195

I'm not an artist but I'm pretty glad on how this turned out! Join the Discord for more live updates! https://discord.gg/dzVdYHeFqv

Been a long while, but I'm working on my game again! Temporary name is Grid Wars, but as I develop that may change. I ended up changing the colors of the players for better visibility and easier on the eyes. https://trello.com/b/fMZxN9Ip/grid-wars

I'm starting to work on like "Ability Boxes" which causes effects to happen when the ball hits it. More in the article. (Also try taking a guess what the one in the screenshot would do!)
