Rift Frigate Alpha 0.2 Demo is up!

Hello everyone! After 5 months we’re ready to drop our first demo, at the Alpha 0.2 stage! While it’s a bit more beefy than a prototype, we’ve decided to share it so that we can get a feel from players and we’ve got our pens and pads ready to log feedback - so head to the Overview page and give it a try!

Let us know what you think of it – we value all of your constructive feedback! We’ve also included a button to a quick 1-minute survey that is anonymous and extremely helpful to us if you wanna help with development.

The current Alpha 0.2 demo features:

  • Tutorial for exploring the mechanics of the game

  • Survival scenario showcasing weapons, harvesting, combat

  • Variety of pre-constructed Ships (future versions will have Ship Editor enabled)

What we’re planning for next versions:

  • Adding Campaign missions

  • Making the Ship Editor user-friendly and available

  • Wide array of weapons with different mechanics, utilities and countermeasures

  • Movement on Vertical axis

  • Extending ships on vertical axis

  • Multiplayer

  • Controller support

Enjoy and expect more interesting things to come in future releases!
