Save Data System

I managed to implement a particular save system on the same day that I talked about the github. Not sure if it was before or after the post, but right now I am pretty confident it is fully functional as no bugs were found.

Different Scenarios produce different save data, which can all be used in one game. It is convenient for the projects, but it also has potential for save importing from other games in the same Engine (and UNDERTALE), which someone could hypothetically use.

It would be pretty cool to do something with that. It would pair especially nicely with Wonders of Patience if I ever went on to do a full UTY Rewrite to ensure the Story is capable of aligning with Canon. As for the current UTY Story... I am a bit more hesitant on merging the two.

Maybe I could do something simple like make Items stored in Boxes carry over? That would be pretty novel. Sort of like a pseudo-new game plus.

I haven't quite intended the possibility, but I could also try out a dedicated UTY save import feature too? That seems like something that could be done for a full version of the game. No promises.

It will be a good while before the Games reach a point where I have to think very much about any of these. But it is exciting to think of potential ambitions. Hopefully one day an idea strikes me that allows me to tap into the full potential of this.
