Question will the final bosses (which have terrible balance) get changed to be more fair?

I must say, I only just now stumbled across this mod here and quickly looked through the devlogs, and I'm very impressed with your plans and little QOL additions for this game. I love Undertale Yellow a lot, but I always believe that it can certainly use lots of improvements, and this mod has a LOT of promise going for it!

I also want to ask: in terms of content that goes beyond bug fixes or technical improvements, how much are you adding to the game in terms of outright new inclusions or additions?

Here is where the .GMX Project Files of various old iterations of this Game are. They're here for historical purposes for the curious or the impatient in the case of early birds. They are not intended as proper playable experiences, but you are still free to mess around with them. It is not recommended to save your game in these, just in case. Changelogs are not included.

Undertale Yellow: Done Justice is a fanmade (technical) remake of popular fangame Undertale Yellow made to patch out many of it's setbacks with the addition of QoL improvements, bonus content, and attention to detail added in small places left neglected.

Demo Releases and (hopefully) the Full Game will also includes a massive changelog of relevant and future changes, in order to give you a good idea of what content has been altered. (But since this is a remake, that's kind of a formality.)

The Source Code is also public, so you can do whatever you want with the game once it's yours. Some things might be frowned upon, but you can still do it.

Q: Is this a mod?

A: No, this is the game being rebuilt in Gamemaker Studio 1.

Q: Why not Gamemaker Studio 2?

A: 32-bit support was dropped in Gamemaker Studio 2, and it feels sluggish to use on top of encouraging bad game-dev habits. Switching to it's predecessor was the best thing I ever did.

Q: How is this copy "better"?

A: Undertale Yellow has a lot of fundamental problems in it's engine and a unflattering amount of bugs. Don't get me wrong, I like certain aspects of the game. I just feel like it gets in it's own way and drags the good down with the bad. As much work as the Undertale Yellow team may have done, they have made the choice to not patch some of the more major setbacks prior or after release.
I disagree with that decision. I have no intentions of stirring conflict with them, but I believe you deserve better, and the team's game deserved better too.

Undertale Yellow was in development for at least 7 years. Remember these words while you read the changelog.

Q: What happened to the Vanilla+ and Rewrite versions?

A: Ah those... Originally I considered splitting UTY Done Justice into those versions with one similar to UTY but with some gameplay improvements, and one that salvages parts of UTY to make a stronger overall experience with more major changes. Unfortunately, I put too much confidence in UTY as a base. I don't think it's possible to make UTY into an experience that can be definitively called good even with a Rewrite, it's too far gone.

Right now it's a bit of a mix, but has most in common with Vanilla+ to not make it into a completely different game. Even if I am not confident in being able to deliver an experience I can be fully happy with, I will do my best!

@Fanimator_Animations - made the Lead2ner Engine used in the Lead2ner Prototypes. Is very awesome and cool. He helped kickstart the Story Reimagining and also had a lot of feedback about UTY when he played that. He is also responsible for sprucing up the Description with cool images, and made a nice Dalv Redesign.

Wild Pasta - Helped me a lot with suggestions, fun conversations, and the very page you are looking at. Also he wrote a whole story outline for a new Route.

All of Decibat's attacks have been imported and are functional. Did it slower than I'd like, but I'll take what I can get.

Working on attack refinements now, such as making the Stalagmites come down from the ceiling and shake rather than just fading in.

I was working on Decibat and accidentally made their face too big.

Worked on the Corn Maze and Flowey Dialogues today. A notable change here is that the Pebbles Room Entrance is inside the maze itself.

I expect to have this maze done tomorrow with interactables and clutter. (Oh... How I loathe clutter...)

Fixed audio problems in prior videos by updating Gamemaker Studio 1 to 1.4.999, turns out it had a steam beta I could have used this whole time!

Flowey now does a little bit of trolling if you're too chatty.
