This means I've reworked the save system to be more "stage" dependant. Instead of all the scores being saved under one file, the game will save scores individually per stage. E.g. All Postal Warehouse scores are saved in one file, all Airport scores are saved in another, etc.
The old save file will not be deleted, however, it is encrypted. So I recommend taking notes of your current scores in game and editing the new save files once you start the game when the new update arrives.
Instructions:
Before updating, open the game and note down all scores saved.
Once updated, open the game so new files are created.
Close the game and navigate to where save files are kept.
For Windows:
Press: "Windows Button + R", to open the Run window.
Type "appdata" within the text field and click "OK".
Navigate to: "LocalLow\Somiaz Studios\Unregulated".
From there you can open the .json files (named after the stages) using Notepad or an equivilant Notepad app.
For Linux:
Open a file explorer app.
Navigate to: "~/.config/unity3d/Somiaz Studios/Unregulated".
Now you can open the .json files using a Notepad app.
Once you've opened the save file(s), you should be able to edit the scores.
Save and close the Notepad app you're using and reopen the game. The scores should have updated properly.
It's a bit convoluted but this should work. I'm most likely going to leave the save files as unencypted so you can change it to whatever you want. I don't mind.
That's all, thanks for reading!
