Shoot Dem Squares! v0.1


There is not really that much to this game right now. It's just a simple side-view shooter with some sprites. Later on I'll be adding more kinds of enemies, menus, sounds, and much more.

This is what I have now:

  • A simple enemy that moves from one side of the screen to the other. You can shoot it and you get one point. (I wasn't able to get the score displayed so far, but I am working on it, should be done in v0.1.2)

  • There's also another type of enemy. The "Berzerker". At first he looks easy to handle since he's really slow. But once you shoot it, it gets angered. He doubles in size, and gains speed. Has 3 health.

The game also restarst if the player runs out of health (that you can lose by colliding with the squares)

v0.1.2 Plans:

  • Display score and health

  • Scrolling background

  • Simple SFX

  • Better player sprite graphics

    (+ Maybe a main menu, but that might only be introduced in v0.1.3)

Our Japanese themed game released yesterday on Gamejolt + Itch io if anyone would like to check it out! :) You play as a spirit of a japanese wolf.

Distrust - HUMERUS (with dirty shade) Papyrus isn`t small. It's possible that I didn't draw him well, but he crouched down and bent towards us. I'm still bad at moments like this
