Satoshi Matsumoto grew up in Sōkyō, in the Kantō region of Japan (or Central City in the United Federation), with his parents, Takuya and Hanako, running a cozy ramen shop (or café) in a quiet neighborhood. Satoshi never left Sōkyō once, so he became accustomed to city life and knew his way around town. Satoshi never left Sōkyō once, so he became accustomed to city life and knew his way around town. He was a very intelligent kid with a love for science, yet he also struggled to socialize with other kids his age (especially in school) because of his autism and introverted nature. Instead, he formed a close relationship with his parents, who fully understood how their son felt. One day, Satoshi went to his school's science fair, or he went on a field trip; either way, a mysterious spider appeared out of nowhere and bit him, causing him to feel dizzy until he fainted. Satoshi woke up the next morning… strangely better than ever. Not only that, but for some reason, he's got perfect eyesight too (even though he normally needs glasses to see). The spider that bit him yesterday granted him powers, something he never dreamed of; he can climb walls, turn invisible, his agility has increased significantly (and so has his speed, just not the same level as Sonic the Hedgehog), and he's got electrical powers! Satoshi Matsumoto has become an Electric-type MetaMobian. Although he couldn't shoot webs… so to make up for that, he invented a pair of Web-Shooters, complete with artificial webbing. Alternatively, however, if he were a dual-type Bug/Electric MetaMobian, then he would instead have organic web-shooters (similar to Tobey Maguire). Normally, every MetaMobian can use their powers after what's called the "Meta Gene" has been activated; in Satoshi's case, though, he was bitten by a Genesis-irradiated spider. Later that night, Satoshi overhears his parents talking; turns out, they're in debt, and they owe ¥500,000 (or $3,000) on their mortgage, or they'll lose the rāmen shop (or café). Yikes! Heavy stuff for a 10-year-old kid. But with his amazing new skills, he did what any MetaMobian would do: FIGHT IN A TOURNAMENT!!! The winner would be rewarded ¥1,500,000 (or $10,000). Hoping to help his parents pay off their debt, Satoshi entered the tournament, calling himself "Spider-Wolf". But things went downhill fast when he hesitated to stop an armed robber from escaping with a bag full of cash right before the final round; unfortunately, that same robber would end up shooting one of his parents. In anguish, he sought revenge against the shooter, only to find out that it was the same burglar from the arena. Due to this, he faces his very first Karmic Moment: Mercy or Revenge?
😇Mercy: Spider-Wolf chooses to spare the criminal, knowing that his parents wouldn't want a son who kills people, no matter whether they're innocent or guilty. Ultimately, he learns that with great power, there must also come great responsibility.
👿Revenge: Spider-Wolf would finish the job… make the criminal suffer and die for what he did; an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Soon, he becomes the very thing that Hexcorp Industries has painted MetaMobians to be: a Bio-Monster.
By the way, in case you haven't heard, I'm planning to start an animated series based on my Sonic OC AU, MetaMobius.
Got any ideas for the first episode? Now is still the perfect time.
