Takeshi Ueda grew up in Sakurayama in the Jouto region of Japan. Frequently bullied at school and with no real control over his life, Takeshi retreated into one of his favorite computer games, Computer Monsters (or "Compumon" for short, which is essentially an in-universe version of Pokémon). There, he found solace as he could travel across the world to catch and train Compumon, becoming the very best like no one ever was. He even watches the anime, seeing an aspiring Compumon Trainer going on adventures with his friends. But the real world…? Well, let's just say there's no such thing as a Compumon Master. At first, he did his best to ignore the bullies, minding his own business… that is, until one day, they pushed him too far, prompting him to inadvertently activate his unique Video powers for the first time and accidentally unleash a giant, monstrous Compumon that violently attacked everyone around him. After the incident, Hexcorp Industries, led by the mysterious Neo, came to his house and took him in, promising he would be sent to a new school designed for people like him… different. It was a long ride from home, but what they really did was take him to a small island located in Sōkyō Bay in the Kantō region, which serves as a super-maximum security prison and black-site research facility; it's like Prison Island except it's designed exclusively for MetaMobians. Hexcorp calls it "Akuma Island". There, Neo hooked Takeshi up to some machines and took advantage of his powers to create holographic foes to teach other imprisoned MetaMobians how to fight and kill while taking steps to prevent Takeshi's hardlight constructs from saving him. One day, someone hacked into the security system, and one of the walls of the facility somehow exploded, allowing a small number of MetaMobians to escape Hexcorp's grasp; Takeshi was one of the lucky few, using this moment as a chance to finally really disappear so that no one could find him or hurt him ever again. But this was no time to celebrate his newfound freedom, because it wouldn't take long for him to notice Hexcorp Troopers hunting down all the suspected MetaMobians in Sōkyō. He thought about what Neo's gonna do to them, and it was then that he decided that someone had to stop him. If Spider-Wolf were to encounter him, he would face this Karmic Moment: Courage or Contempt?
😇Courage: Spider-Wolf would redeem Takeshi, helping him build his courage by working together to save more helpless victims… teaching him more about being a hero.
👿Contempt: Spider-Wolf would corrupt Takeshi, breaking him of his fear of bullies by showing him how strong he really is… making his Compumon constructs more violent.
