No, I haven't died just yet, in fact, I'd say in the time I've been gone, I've grown more lively as a game developer.
Back with Pikmin Garden and Super Game Adventure, I wasn't much of a game developer, I was a kid who got his hands on a program to make games easily, with major limitations.
Now however, I'm using the Godot game engine, and am actually writing code for a game in GDScript.
This new project FAR from finished, and while the past me would've posted it to GameJolt by now, due to it having the basic fundamentals working (Movement, attacking, doors and a simple title screen), I'm gonna hold off for now, tho I promise I'll post it to GameJolt once it's in a better state (I currently have a page set up for it already).
I don't want to reveal too much about the game yet, since most of the details are still up for debate, but the one detail I can say with certainty is that it's a 2D RPG with real time combat, similar to the old Zelda games.
My current plan is to publish the page for the game when I've replaced the main characters placeholder assets with my own, since the main character is currently a bi-pedal dog with a cape I got from a Godot tutorial. I also want to implement dialogue.
So, to recap:
I currently have a project in the works (been working on it since late last year), I'm going to show it off publicly once all the currently used art is my own, and once dialogue is implemented.
For the dialogue, I'd say I'll prob be finished within a month (I just need to fix a minor issue), art on the other hand, might take a bit longer due to me not being experienced with Animation or Pixel Art, and I'm currently working on this solo.
