Added a quick guide with my favorites in the "What do I want?" section
A different article than what I'm used to writing: here I show you which fan games impressed me and which ones I didn't care for. If you want to find a fan game you like but don't know where to look, why not start here?

A very important premise
Now, I know I won't be talking too well about a few of them. But let me be clear: these are games that were made by fans, for fans. It's absolutely amazing that people with talent spent their time making fan games of FNaF World for the people to enjoy! Most of these are passion projects and I highly doubt if there is even one of them where the people working on it are getting paid for it. The developers should absolutely be respected for even trying their best here and none deserve any form of hate. While I severely doubt this could even happen, I'll still write that I do not condone any sort of behavior that is or is comparable to hate against the devs. Constructive criticism is important, yes, but outright hate is just being a jerk.
Another thing: these are just my personal opinions. This is a subjective list: everybody is entitled to have their own opinion on these fan games, thanks to the freedom of speech.
On another note, I highly suggest starting with the OG FNaF World rather than jumping right in on the fan games, if you still haven't. It'll really give you means to compare them properly! I even got a guide on how to do it on a Mac (here's the guide: https://gamejolt.com/p/tips-how-to-play-fnaf-world-its-fan-games-on-a-mac-or-at-least-7mrxa9dx)
The games are presented in no particular order. This isn't a ranking: just a recommendation! I'm talking only about the ones I tried and worked: I can't tell anything about the others. With that out of the way, let's begin!
ADDENDUM: I have learned just now about the accusations made against @ToyChicaEntertainment
. I believe in dividing creator from creation in general: however, the allegations are serious enough to disgust me. For this reason, I have them removed from the list. If you wanna know more, I suggest you look elsewhere: it's not my job or place to chime in on this. I do not, however, want to be associated with this, so hopefully you'll understand. Search at your own risk

Honorary mentions to look out for
Here are a few games with a lot of promise that you might not see in Page 1 of Gamejolt (yet): games that are still not out, but show so much potential!

FNaF World: Universal Madness (by @LivingCorpse7 )
A game I've been looking forward to ever since I set my eyes upon it (and you can confirm this by even just checking where I post ). Fantastic models, new moves, new modes, fully fledged and developed skins, an encyclopedia, FAN GAME UNIVERSES, reworked encounters, quests and more, this really does feel like FNaF World 2! Reworked animations, models, moves, maps, new areas... check it out for yourselves!
It has three videos on the development and more on the creation of the fan game models! If you like what you see, check out his DeviantArt and his YouTube channel: you won't be disappointed!

FNAF World: Strings (by @Dave_Miller789 )
Have you ever wanted a darker take on FNaF World? Were you among the ones lamenting the absence of the unnerving feeling you get from the first games? This might be for you then. Delving into Kenophobia, the fear of empty spaces, and the digital horror trope, this is a complete reinterpretation of what we know and love.
Three modes, wide worlds, a reimagined new chip system, uncanny graphics and more... come see what the game has to offer. If you ever dare, that is.

I highly recommend these!
Games in this list are all interesting and fun! Every one of them is worth your time in my honest opinion! They all bring a different thing to the table, making you end up with a proper feast!

FNaF World: No Loading Screens (by @K-C_rwq )
While the experience is marketed as pure, unbridled chaos, it plays much differently on modern day computers. Sure, perhaps the original nature of the mod might still shine on older hardware, but the experience has become something much different. FNaF World was already a very fast paced game, but eliminating loading screens makes it an even smoother and faster experience than it ever could be.
Some things break: DeeDee's fish might just stop, maybe you have to die to equip bytes, sometimes you need to reset to place the chips... but these are, at the end of the day, little annoyances. Annoyances that you quickly overcome once you realize how much smoother the experience is. It plays, unintentionally, beautifully. I highly suggest you try this out, whether you have the attention span of a lobotomized rat or whether you're just looking out for a fun time! The feel of the game is very different with just this minor change applied!

FNaC World (by @Invisible-Team )
Have you ever wanted FNaC to finally enter the whimsical world of FNaF World? Now, you finally can! Experience a revamped version of the game you know and love, now with characters from one of the most beloved fan games series (to the point it is in the Fazbear Fanverse initiative)!
Have fun exploring new worlds, from Sugar Hills to Rotten Candy Mines! Enjoy different chip placements, such as closer Find: Characters chip! Get annoyed by Doppelgängers while trying to grind for characters! But most importantly... experience a completely new FNaF World, with a brand new roster of moves, endings and more! What are you waiting for? While it's only still a Demo for now, this is absolutely worth your time! Take it from me, I played it twice!

FNaF World - Rewritten 2.0 (by @Eliass_ ) [promoted!]
Tired of all of the jankiness of the original game? Did you wish there were more characters to unlock? Then why not stop by and revisit FNaF World once again, reinterpreted in a new light? Introducing FNaF World: Rewritten! The game presents itself effectively as an Update 2.5, with 8 new characters, a completely overhauled map, moves rebalanced and rewrote and mini games changed (I'm looking at you, Chica's Magic Rainbow)!
A game that helps you out on your journey and that tries to guide you through redrawn caves, forests, lakes and more (with Find: Characters immediately at your disposal... if you know where to look)! Try it out for yourself! This is certainly one version of the game you won't regret playing!

FNaF World: Yenndo Edition (by @Weirado )
What happens when you make a troll game enjoyable? We can see what happened with FNaF 1 Remake, but do we know of any other devs in this community who have made an enjoyable troll game? Why not ask this dev? Yenndo Edition partially mimics the troll FNaF Halloween Edition, but also gives it its own spin: Yenndo.
While the structure is very linear, the art style is on point and the experience is short enough to result overall a very enjoyable time. Be sure to try it out if you'll ever have the chance!

FNaF World: Corrupted Chaos Holiday Special! (by @Weirado )
Feel the Christmas glee coming from every pore in this little holiday special! Featuring three classic mini-games in a jolly new format, if you're ever wondering how to kill some time, why not stop here?
Featuring Flappy Bird, the FNaF 6 mini-game that comes right at the start (the one about giving pizza to the children) and Foxy Fighters, all retextured to fit the holiday spirit FNaF World can, and will deliver! Hop on by and join this holiday spree!

Find Willy (by @plushcabinet )
For all of you Refreshed aficionados and for the casual players, get to experience one of the best FNaF World fan mini-games... now on a game all of its own! Try to locate Willy in a 2D map in a limited amount of time, having only directional clues to your aid.
Try this addicting mini-game out for yourself! It's a fantastic game to play; one I suggest even to you, even if you have never and never would want to touch Refreshed (for some unknown reason)! Why not give this fan game a spin? It's such a fun time killer!

FNaF World: Completionist (by @plushcabinet )
Have you ever wanted to show off to your friends? Wanted to show those click-baiting YouTubers you've got the skillz they're lacking? Wanna just boast about being a pro in a discontinued spin-off to a horror series? Why not show it by trying to complete every single achievement in this incredibly challenging version of FNaF World?
Wanna be a real Compeltionsit? Honk Freddy's nose 1987 times! Beat Hard mode without healing/Gift Boxes! Without chips or bytes! without a team member ever dying! Beat Chica's Magic Rainbow mini-game by not even dying! Think you got what it takes? Prove it with this fan game!

FNAF WORLD: OUTPLAY (by @Rextair_games )
Ever wanted a little more FNaF in Sonic? Ever wanted more Sonic in FNaF? Then this game might just be for you! Play as the classic four in a fast paced platformer! Dash with Foxy, glide with Chica and so much more can be done when you've got the gang with you!
Fight enemies, collect crystals and travel at lightning speed as you progress through a delightful pixelated world! Do you feel that need for speed? Why not try this fan game out then? You surely won't regret it!

FNaF World: Civil War [Gunmetal Edition] (by @ShamirLuminous )
Blast your way through a barrage of enemies as you play as either Springbonnie or Fredbear in this parody of a film I can't quite put my finger on... if only there was some kind of clue in the title...
Experience a remake of a parody game, now complete with even more war and even more drama! Keeping the same format of FNaF World, relive one of the more famous films of all time... but now in a cuter form! What are you waiting for? Try it out for yourselves!

Fnaf World: Overturned 1.1 (by @Boneto276 )
Do you want some more content? Do you wish to play as the enemy side? To see Sister Location finally added? Have you ever wanted to play as Virtua-Freddy? Now you can! Basing itself on FNaF World: Fixed, this game, with updates still in-development, presents itself as a slightly better version of Fixed. It reworks the map in a way that doesn't feel oppressive or unnecessary, it reworks the menu, it adds custom character icons to the new additions alongside the FNaF animatronics, fan game animatronics and more! From the addition of the Mechrab in Dusting Fields, which makes the search for an Unscrew user useless (it can use Unscrew!), to the funny Ghost Freddy which only knows Haunting, why not give this fan game a go? While the models might not always be up to snuff, it's not something you'll ever find yourself minding while playing this game! From quests to hidden walls (even in the Flipside!), it's certainly not lacking in fun and there is even more to come! Definitely a very recent game to look out for! Be sure to check it out from time to time!

FNAF Hidden World (by @MatthewS3 ) [promoted!]
Discover a plane where you can join the lost souls you've seen so much in the series. Join forces with the spirits of the Hidden World and return to the Pizzeria, your home, as you attempt to solve puzzles, find clues and play arcade games.
Traverse a 3D pixelated world through the depths of reality: just how deep does the rabbit hole go? You get to play as Freddy, wielding his trusty microphone. Can he fend for himself or will he succumb to the Rotten Rabbit? Why not find out for yourself in this new format for our lovable mascots, with references spanning all the series, from FNAF 1 to Ruin?

FNaF World HD (by @Puqa )
You boot it up for the first time. A static effect fills your screen. Then you finally go to Party Mode and talk to Fredbear. And finally, you are in Fazbear Hills. The game has never looked so good. It feels like you are in a movie and you control the protagonists.
Everything's crisp, everything is silky smooth. No bugs, no nuisances. Just you and a FNaF World so beautiful, something you've never seen before. I didn't think at first it would make that much of a difference, but I was gladly proven wrong. If you want to experience the original FNaF World, I suggest going with this version: it makes that much of an impact!

FNaF World Updates & More, Unofficial (by @supersmashchar )
(Main article here: https://gamejolt.com/p/subjective-review-mini-update-1-a-fan-game-left-mostly-undiscov-dxabwn2z)
What more is there to say? So many new characters, new moves, new areas, unlockable enemies, bosses, new plot...
What the heck are you waiting for? Try this immensely underrated Update out for yourself!

FNaF World: Adventure DX (by @ShamirLuminous )
This is a real funking shame. It solves every single problem the original had and more (and oh boy, did it have problems!), but it's an unfinished build. Still.. it's beatable, so there's that. This is amazing! It's absolutely one of the best FNaF fan games out there, even in this state! Everything is a delight, every move is carefully thought out, the upgrades and bytes reimagined, the models finally look awesome!
Play as the Funtime Gang in a beautifully crafted world, with well thought out placements, graphics, battles and more! Experience a brand new Animatronica (Faz-village? Village-tronica?) like you've never seen before! Fight old and new menaces alike in a reimagined pillar of the FNaF World community!
Everything you see here is in its proper place, as it should be. The story, sadly, is not present, and there are no cutscenes etc.... but dammit this is really good! Give this a try, seriously! I was against the idea of playing Adventure, but this changed my mind completely. This is the version you should play of the game, and a quick comparison between the two will make you quickly guess why.

FNaF World 3D (by @XxEmilxX )
"Highly recommended" might not be the best term for this one, since it's in an incomplete state without saves or battles, but it's still an interesting experiment that feels a little off but at the same time amusing.
Explore the world you know and love... but in 3D! It's more of a tech demo here, but it's certainly an interesting answer to a possible "What if?" you might have had before. Give it a spin: I'm sure you'll find some entertainment out of it too!

FNaC World: The Adventure (ORIGINAL FALLING MOON EDITION) (by @Waterboy_Games )
FNaC is a fantastic fan game, so good that it might as well be official material in more ways than one. Then why not develop its own spin-off too, just like FNaF World? Introducing FNaC World! Get to play as the lovable characters from the series in a completely revamped game that only shares the style with FNaF World!
Buy and change moves! Watch out for your battery while you fight! Choose the moves wisely in this more classic RPG take on what Candy would look like if he was even cuter! So many characters to collect, so many strategies to develop: what will your path look like, in this fan game that stood the test of time (except the UI, but who cares about it when you can slam a burger in your enemy's face?)?

FNaF World: The Plushie Saga (by @sincerelyproductions1398 )
Do you ever get tired of using the same attacks? The same RPG system? Did you ever wish it was even more dynamic? Introducing The Plushie Saga! Through its simplified pixelated graphics, reimagine FNaF World in an even cuter light! With every move rethought, choose one character to fight with and select carefully your next move while dodging a myriad of bullets, skulls, axes and... clocks?
A fun fan game that redefines the combat system in a way that it keeps being natural and fast paced: what are you waiting for? Go check it out for yourselves: it'll surely be worth your time!
Little thing I noticed in the full release: it won't let me start the Phone Guy battle due to bugs (it crashes every time I try), which is a shame, but it's absolutely a fun experience nevertheless!

FNaF World: Refreshed 1.5 (by @Pyturret )
You know the game: the YouTubers are playing it, the community is playing it and probably your grandma too at this point. A really high effort FNaF fan game, in its 1.5 version it packs a mighty punch, with new enemies, characters, moves, a whole skin system, endless mode, time bonuses, special moves, 4 moves, reworked models and more! What more can you ask for?
I highly suggest entering the Discord, even with an unclaimed account (like I did), to snatch the 1.5 version of the game. It contains a lot of new content: make sure you have the hot fix with Candy Cadet coded in!
The models look convincing enough in game to pass off as official, should you not think about it actively. These are the best models so far created for a released fan game. I'm a guy who looks a lot at graphics, they are very important: and these look pretty darn good. A feast for the eyes, you won't get bored soon with this fan game in your hands!

FNaF World Redacted (by @GBAura )
The subtitle fits perfectly: this indeed is almost exactly FNaF World, but the things that it does change make it so much better. Let's start off with 4 moves, some reworked too. Let's keep the ball rolling with a completely revamped character encounter system: not just more likely to find them, but area locked, with personalized dialogue for each and with the possibility to bribe them in. And this little change (alongside many other ones)... it makes the whole difference. And somehow, the game becomes so much more fun than it ever was. No Glitch Area shenanigans: you've gotta work for it, but oh will it feel good (and I'm usually the guy to use the skips when I can)!

FNaF World Simulator (by @CrashKandicoot )
Ever wanted an actual challenge in FNAF World? Ever wondered what it feels like to play as the enemy side? Wonder no more! FNaF World Simulator is here and it's a magnificent addition to the fan game pool! Featuring a fantastic story, a fabulous finale, playable bosses and new lovable mini-games and reworked encounters, this fan game is one of the most iconic you can find on the wide web, when it comes to FNaF World games! This is absolutely a must: it turns the game in a constantly uphill battle against the once good guys. It's absolutely enthralling!

FNaF World Randomizer (by @K-C_rwq )
Do you feel tired about playing the same, trite game? Wanna change it up? How about just randomizing every single little thing possible? Randomize the characters! Randomize the moves! Heck, randomize fish movement and the fish themselves in the DeeDee mini-game! Absolute chaos where nothing is as it seems, fight Chillax as a boss and defeat unlikely combinations of characters! With four different modes, the playful chaos feels unending, but endlessly fun (Mwahahaha)!

FNaF World: QoL Mod (by @K-C_rwq )
Wow, two games in the list? This mod might not look like it adds much if you only remain stuck on the name, but as soon as you see that little Fight! button, as soon as you realize you can switch between Party, Chips and Bytes wherever you are... as soon as you see toggable difficulty, enemy HP bars, changeable levels, teams not necessarily needing 8 characters and customizable move sets... you realize you fell in a sandbox. A really fun one, at that. Perfect for any challenge run you got, perfect to test combinations of characters and moves you could never even dare, this is the ultimate fix to FNaF World: it adds nothing new in terms of content, but it adds so much in terms of mental health to the player and in terms of customizable content, and I thank you very much for that!

FNaF World Fixed (by @plushcabinet )
You know how buggy the OG is when this little gem pops up. This really lives up to its name: it's finally fixed. While the Save button went for a permanent smoke break, an Options buttons appears (delightfully in the same exact style as the others) with so much more going on than you may realize. The game fixes it all and reworks it (for instance, Auto: Shield also adds the Bubble Breath effect!): everything feels smoother, everything feels much nicer than it ever was. This, alongside QoL, is the version of the OG FNaF World you should be playing right now. Experience all of the charm of the original in a form that doesn't denature it at all: with the possibility to mod from these files, I can't find myself recommending this enough!

Very conflicted

FNaF World: Corrupted Chaos (by @Weirado )
I couldn't put this in the section below because it doesn't deserve it at all. I think it's best to say, given it's only a demo we got so far but it's a pretty vast demo, that it's not for me. The art style is great, the animations burst with life and color (except weird cases that I can count with the fingers on one hand: why's Fredbear looking a thousand miles ahead?) and the world is wide. So... what's the problem?
It's too wide. Even the battles feel too wide, too empty. The screen angle makes some things look... weird. It also feels cramped, for some reason. The battle system was also rethought: I'm ok with how it was rethought, mostly (like Regen Cake being a thing now). I'm not ok, however, with the fact that now you only get one team. That's a bummer: it kills strategies that could've been used and running just became more useless. I'm not that happy that Impossible mode feels... impossible. Only having a team means that things get much harder, and I made guides for Difficulty 20 and 1000. It... doesn't feel fun. It honestly feels exactly that: impossible, and not how it should feel, very hard but possible. I'm sure with the right bytes it's beatable, but it's something that stuck to me and made the game feel a lot less fun. Why put a difficulty like that when it's literally impossible? Maybe it isn't, but that's not how it felt.
Ultimately, I suggest you try it yourself: the game presents so much personality that you should give it a go. It would be criminal to put this in the "Not recommended" section, because again, it's not deserving of it at all. Seriously, try this out yourself!

Fnaf World The Return to Nightmare's (by @BALLONYOU )
I'm pretty conflicted, because the game seems... fine. I haven't gone far enough to actually be able to tell how this game will go. It might be good, it might not. So far... it's just ok.
It adds new mechanics which I do not love. My main problem is the Earth, Air, Fire and Water weaknesses. FNaF World, when you start, offers you few strategies. The best cycle is the best early-game cycle: Birthday user, Healer, Jumpscarer and Damage dealer. This cycle carries you through otherwise incredibly tough battles. This cycle is impossible to replicate in this fan game, however. The weaknesses don't add a level of complexity: they add a handicap, and only a handicap, because strengths matter little, or so it feels. Perhaps changing Freddy's moves might work more in my favor, but it's not like the problem is firepower.
Another problem (let's keep English aside, it's only a demo for now): the battles. Because of the changes to the moves (Birthday isn't a thing now, Bonnie became a Jumpscarer and Foxy became the Damage dealer, which is problematic because it completely shatters the cycle. Bonnie will have to act as a healer alongside a second healer because you're fighting uphill, so Foxy is void. Mangle is a Jumpscarer now, but she's Fire so first battles will be hell), everything suddenly becomes longer and more torturous. It's completely RNG based, because if the enemies wanna kill you, they will.
The whole problem of this is that this is Easy Mode. Hard Mode is not accessible for now, so I can't even begin to imagine what Hard Mode means. There were also changes in graphics which I'm not fond of and the map feels too linear and not of an actual world.
However... this is a brand new story. There are things I like: from the photos, I like the unlock system. I like the challenges. I like the fact that characters are locked behind areas.
I don't like some models (Circus Baby is really bad). I don't like their lighting. I'm not fond of the battle system but that's the main gameplay mechanic. I like the Fight button. Ultimately... I can't decide if this is a "It's not for me" problem or something I just can't find myself recommending (I find myself leaning more on this side of the fence, however, unlike Corrupted Chaos). Check for yourself the page: it's best to form your own opinion in this case.

FNAF WORLD: QUEST (by @Patata1236 )
The new format's interesting, I'll give it that. Still... I find myself conflicted.
I'm not sure that 1) this is an actual FNaF World game. I mean, it's in the name, right? But it's pretty distant from where we started. I guess the same could be said about The Plushie Saga, but that game feels closer to the FNaF World feeling, I can't explain quite why: maybe it's the whimsical story and the creative characters. This is another game: it's an arcade game, which is not bad, but is it even a fan game of FNaF World or, like Outplay, it's a fan game of something else with a FNaF overlay?
Rhetorics aside, the second point is 2) I'm not too fond of key choices. Imagine coding a whole game, and the one thing I decide to comment on is key choices? No, but seriously, having 1, 2, 3, 4 as keys for the abilities is uncomfortable. It actively ruins the whole experience. Maybe using keys like I, J, K, L? Have the left hand move the character and the right one attack and do secondary things would be a much more comfortable setup.
And this leads me to 3) it's super chaotic, but I'm not sure I mean this in a good way. There are enemies spawning everywhere. Now, it's obvious that you should stop at each world to kill and level up, but I'm not too happy to do that cause 2) bad controls. So I try to skip ahead and get traumatized by 10000 Gearrats. Also wanna add that I didn't quite get how to upgrade abilities, but that's probably a me problem.
So overall... I'm conflicted cause you see the work that was put. I can't recommend it, but I can't not recommend it. See this game for yourself: it's probably the best solution.

FNaF World - Update 3 Rescripted, Part 1 (by @Invisible-Team )
I'm not conflicted in the sense that this has good aspects or bad aspects. I'll go straight to the point: so far, I noticed no new content. And I mean, that's correct. It should be like that: it's only Part 1 after all.
But... this is literally just Fixed for now. Ok, battle backgrounds are better, but I noticed zero changes besides that. I defeated Scott and checked around Halloween Backstage. I... don't see any changes.
So, I guess if you wanna play the Update 3 content that will eventually come, it might be nice to prep yourself and get the characters but... there's nothing to differentiate it from Fixed. What am I rating here? The backgrounds? It's not bad enough to not recommend, because Fixed is a good game. But there is not enough to make it, so far, its own game with only Part 1 available. Some fan games put their own spin to it even this early on: this one doesn't. So... I guess it's best to just wait and see what they have been thinking!

FNaF World: Reshuffled (by @Algeanie )
I'm conflicted because this game has one objective only: to change the moves of the characters in order to have a more balanced roster. And oh, boy, you see that especially when you realize that Birthday is not a move anymore with the starting characters.
But. There is a but here, yes. While the early game loop gets a little funked, this is not at all enough to stop you from grinding early on the Glitch Area. Why? Simple: have an Armor Song user instead of Birthday and go grab Endless: Speed in Choppy's Woods. You got a pseudo-Birthday user now, or at least what's important of Birthday at this stage. JJ and Phantom Chica still have Unscrew, so nothing really changes.
There are important differences in some character, but not important enough to actually make a difference. Still, it's a fun experiment to have around, but again, it doesn't solve the main problem, which is its objective. Otherwise, it plays exactly like FNaF World, so the game's good. See for yourself if you like it or not.
_______________________________________________________
I can't recommend these
This is a sad section: no game should find itself here. However, what was presented wasn't just something that wasn't for me, but actively made the game worse than the OG in my opinion. That's my criteria for not recommending: if it's on par or better than the OG, I would definitely recommend it. Heck, even if it's slightly worse I would. But what I present here is something I feel, sadly, is worse.
Before going over the single games, I'll start by not being able to recommend any of the fan games made with the RPG Maker engine. If you want to know more on why, I suggest reading this post, which covers my thoughts and problems with the engine: https://gamejolt.com/p/subjective-opinion-about-the-rpg-maker-fnaf-world-fan-games-a-ho-apaf24de
There is also an article about all the rest of @ShamirLuminous 's games. I won't list them here, because Gamejolt is not allowing me, but here is the article: https://gamejolt.com/p/subjective-list-the-completionist-saga-episode-5-we-re-looking-p6fjhide

FNaF World: Trouble in Flipside (by @SmallLightProductions )
Now, I know what I said about RPG Maker games, but I'll make an exception here because this little gem here does not really seem to have much going on for it.
So far... not even a battle. Maybe they'll come later, but for now this is just Walking Simulator (TM). While the other RPG Maker games I covered were placed in this section because of the battle system, I'm placing this guy here because it's boring. The idea of a Game Boy FNaF World is good, great even! But there has to be some form of battles, or at least a lot more of them, because I've been walking for 5 minutes and nothing's happening: it's just puzzles on puzzles.
What kind of FNaF World game does this? Is this a puzzler now? Nevertheless, even accepting this, I cannot recommend it, due to its very slow and too linear nature. When I mean too linear, I mean "Talk to Bonnie", "Bonnie opens door", "Purple Guy moves", "Talk to enemy", "Enemy opens mouth. Go in mouth" etc. (yes, this happens). This is boring, I'm sorry.

FNAF WORLD (by @Mororthin )
I'm ashamed to have played it. I'm even more ashamed this is the second thing popping up when searching "fnaf world".
Just look at the thumbnail. Do I really need to explain why this is here?

Foxy's Adventure (by @ElWaluigi )
Where did I even find this? Another game that plays like a Scratch project, sadly. Bad map, bad sprites, bad layout, bad fights. Too few moves to use and too repetitive. The battles play out very statically too, which is a shame.
I've already covered games which are similar to this. It plays badly, sadly. I'm trying to think about more things to say, but honestly, I really don't this time around. I appreciate the effort, but I don't think the end product shines.

FNaF World: The Fatal World (by @Bonnie198 )
You know the game is peak when the dev says this is a failed project. The real question is: why is it so high up when searching for FNaF World on Gamejolt? First off: the wonderful Scratch project qualities of super wide worlds, shitty sprites and abysmal battle system. Now we have a buddy system between Freddy and Fredbear, but if you get Freddy stuck on something and not Fredbear, Fredbear will just... leave if you walk in any free direction. Good call, Fredbear.
But now, battling feels even worse! Wanna attack? You don't get to have the moves of the characters, not even as a button! Nope, you have one big "Attack" button, then you have to frantically press the yellow buttons appearing, but watch out for the red one! That one damages you! How unfortunate!
Amazing dialogue which could do justice to a C-rated movie for Bollywood standards. Special effect which are out of this world photoshopped... I'm pretty sure the thumbnail will make you understand the quality of the game by itself. But if it wasn't clear by now, no, I can't recommend it.

FNaF World: Adventure (by @ShamirLuminous )
This is one of the more famous fan games. It's got quite a following too, so this might be a hot take for you, the reader. I played with it for a while, but I'm sorry to conclude... I don't like the game too much.
There are a few problems that become hard to overlook over time, to the point I couldn't find myself wanting to complete it. Here are a few of the problems I had:
The models. My god, the models. Their design looks bad. The only good model out of them is Funtime Freddy, but even he is out of style with the FNaF World OG cast. The plates are modeled only when convenient (and their colors are sometimes correct, sometimes not), Funtime Foxy looks like a Helpy lookalike, Ballora is off-putting and Baby's face looks like it passed through a meat grinder. Ennard also looks completely out of style and from the screenshots, Glitchtrap doesn't look better either
That brings me to another problem: graphics. From the little I saw for now, sometimes continuity in graphics is a badly formulated opinion. Prime example is Pinwheel Circus, where FNAF: PS props are used but aren't stylized. So... they look really out of place
The spaces are so wide. There is no map at all, or at least that I managed to find: it's just wide. It's endless and there isn't much to explore except the occasional character with the one or two lines it tells you, so it's just a time-filler
The tutorial is HandUnit. Cool idea! So... how do you interact with it to get the tutorial? ... wait I wasn't told how (starts button mashing). Oh, the Z button is used for interactions, ok!
The battle system. It would be fine, but it's coded in a way that it becomes annoying. The battle system exists, but there is no tactic you actually need to figure out. Well, one actually. Since you're stuck with the same team all the time, you get the same moves, so there's a total lack of strategy (with at least what is presented). Lemme just make a quick overview of everything here:
Baby has Mic Toss, Pizza Wheel and Slasher. Mic Toss is useless. Slasher is also quite useless, because once you kill the commander/boss (the main enemy of the 4. Battles are structured in a way that you have a commander and three "goons", idk if that's their right name. But the commander is the main enemy here and... it always dies first. Also every area only has, so far, only one type of commander and one type of goon, up until Pinwheel Circus. Why)... it becomes useless. But even with the commander alive, Poison lasts so little, you just end up spamming Pizza Wheel
Funtime Foxy has Cosmic Song, Bite 2 (I think?) and Neon Wall. You bring up Neon Wall, and just spam Cosmic Song because Bite 2 is super weak and is not worth it even when Cosmic Song completely misses
Funtime Freddy has Mega Bite, Buzzer and Pizza Wheel 2. Best designed character by far. Mega Bite is good for one enemy only, Buzzer is good for multiple enemies still alive and Pizza Wheel 2 only works with commander/bosses but at least it can burn, which deals so much damage
Ballora has Regen Song, Happy Jam 2 and Gift Boxes. Place Gift Boxes and spam Happy Jam 2: Regen Song is too weak to be useful
This leads to another problem: there isn't just a complete lack of strategy, but there's also bad coding/moves. Pizza Wheel stops the pizzas only at the first enemy to the right. Slasher and Pizza Wheel 2 only work on commanders, but once they're dead, they become useless. Cosmic Song always attacks the enemy on top and rarely gets the one on the bottom. So at the end of the day, no matter what you use, the last enemy you will always kill is the one on the bottom after a few not friendly words get tossed around
Walking is a pain. Thank god you can keep Shift pressed, but everything becomes pixelated when you walk and you always feel like you're walking in mud
"Go back to Fazbear Hills". Oh, ok! (warps to area 1)... wait where exactly do I have to go? (wanders around for 5 minutes). Oh, it was at the entrance to Dusting Fields, ok. This isn't even the only time this happens: bad instructions and a lack of map means that you have no clue where you're supposed to be going half the time
If there is one saving grace to this game, is that the story is ok so far. But it's absolutely not worth it in my opinion to play the game for the story. I'm sorry to say this of a game with such a following, however.

FNaF World: Edge of Time (by @ShamirLuminous )
I'm terribly sorry to also find myself putting the sequel to Adventure here, because the story's absolutely interesting and the recalls to The Desolate Hope/The Pilgrim's Progress are absolutely lovely. There is a map system too and the new areas are interesting, but I do have some things that don't sit too well with me:
Oh boy, a map! Finally, I see he learned from the previous game that- wait, there's no marker. Where the heck am I?
Still super large areas that have very little going on, that didn't change. Not much to add
The battles are still... boring. Very long and very boring. There is no strategy. You once again find yourself using the same moves, but in this game you gotta be super fast in using them otherwise you're dead. Also, some moves are badly coded, like Thrice Claw that stops hitting enemies once you have, like, 1 remaining. But they're still better coded, at least you don't end with the bottom enemy still alive. However, it's very boring: there's little tactic to be found, also due to the fact you are stuck with the same team for the rest of time. I don't know if it changes later on, but I have no will to keep playing a game that repeats itself this much. Move combinations are such that everybody except Candy (but Wallop also suffers mild code errors and sometimes doesn't hit) has one move that is useless: Thrice Claw for Freddy (mostly due to code), the med-pod for Ballora (name's probably off) and the poison lazer for Wendy. You won't use them because you have other moves which are better. This is bad
The models. Yep, them again. Candy looks... ok? Freddy looks good, even because it reuses the OG FNaF World model. Ballora looks like it was recalled from a dumpster and no, I don't mean the fact that she is damaged. Pseudo-Roxy (Wendy, if I recall right) is the worst designed out of them. Molten Freddy looks off too. Enemies look sometimes good, sometimes not good
Some things were fixed, like running actually feels like running and it tells you to press Z to interact. Some things were not. What was not fixed is the battle system. It's vaguely better, but it's still boring in my opinion. So sadly, since this is a game and not a novel, I can't find myself recommending it. Should you be able to overlook the game aspect of it (which, since this is a game, becomes pretty hard), I'm sure you'll find it's a nicely thought story after all.

FNaF World Adventure (by @TheGuardPro )
I was not expecting much going in. I found it while trying to take a nice picture for the more known FNaF World Adventure. This game here, should we even wanna call it a game (I mean, following the definition, I guess it is?), also shares the same exact file name of the other.
It's bad (if you couldn't tell by the banner). It only shares the name FNaF World and some of the graphics, but the dialogue feels like it's written by an early build FazGPT, the "battles" consist of like spamming two moves and frantically clicking at Cupcakes that disappear too soon (but the move name is Regen Song?).
The coding is amazing: every dialogue sends you back to the start of the area, every fight does so too. Fight? Oh, sorry, the sporadic boss fights only. There are no other fights. Stuff happens and is not explained to you at all, or maybe you'd rather not have it explained and just circumvent Fredbear, like I did. Oh, and if you click fast enough a damaging move, you can activate it twice. Riveting.
Yeah... enough said. It looks bad and it plays bad. It feels like a Scratch project more than a fan game.

FNaF World Ultra 1.0.3 (by @Sprenglok31 )
Oh boy. So... why is it here? Quick premise: the game bases itself on Fixed, so base game is fine. It uses the BennetJL pack for models, while coding and animations are done by the main dev.
Now, I managed to play this, even though I'm on Mac, and I saw no discernible bugs, so that's good. It plays out as it should. But... sadly, I don't like a lot of it:
the models used are not my favorite: from a toy Glitchtrap to an off-putting Ennard, the models range from ok to not great. But the models are also used by Overturned. So why do these look bad here but not there? One reason is this: the animations are stiff. They lack character. That's what drags the models down even more. Heck, check out FNaF World: Update 3 Expansion by @crashl_dev
: same models, but the animations burst with life! The models manage to sing and to look genuinely good here because the animations speak for themselves. Here, they don't. They look stiff and that's it
there is no point in having the FNAF World story. There is no point in collecting the OG characters through battles other than completionism. Wanna know why? I'll tell you why: go behind Lolbit in World 1. I'm pretty sure that's how I unlocked Fourth Closet Funtime Freddy. It gives you a character with Alarm, but lemme be real, it doesn't matter if you skip this step. Nothing matters. Just die once, get Tombstone which acts like Shadow Freddy. Go to the Choppy's Woods mine to grab Lefty and Helpy, which both have Gift Boxes. Helpy has Cosmic Song, Gift Boxes and Bubble Breath. That's nuts. Now head to Lilygear Lake to get Glitchtrap in the Glitch World and if you wish, kill the Mediocre Melodies and place Orville. Now you have a character with 4th Wall + Slasher, two gift Boxes and two cosmic Songs. That's it. Nothing matters. You take 15 minutes to get here. This is stupid. You just made everything redundant. The sad part is that these are all successive additions to the first version. This makes playing the game useless: you can kill Chica's Magic Rainbow with a bit of luck. No, seriously. You got Slasher and Fourth Wall, just grab Endless: Speed, Auto: Mimic and Auto: Shield (10-15 minutes at best to snatch all of them) to really just go to the most complicated boss and kill it if you wished by the fourth area. This is dumb
bad move combinations. All around, bad move combinations kill the game. Some are just dog dung, some are insanely busted (Porkpatch sucks, Helpy is a god? Why). This connects to the previous issue
weird map additions. Was the Glitch World necessary to unlock Glitchtrap, but mostly why does it look like a plane? FNAF World plays like a 2.5D game. This feels like it's missing that .5D. Also, why is there a random ball pit near Lilygear Lake for Into the Pit Springbonnie? Why was it put there and not, I don't know, in Pinwheel Circus/Funhouse where it would feel slightly more natural?
the new moves are... weird or badly programmed. Alarm targets one enemy, even when it's dead, and all orbs spawn in the same exact location. Also, why does Withered Golden Freddy have a move called "Head"? What name is that for a move?
lazy unlock methods. The game just puts a popper to represent the character on the map, or asks you to fight with specific characters to get a new one or to walk to a door. All in a guide you get (probably) by end game: that's lazy. At least put the character model for the poppers, it makes it clear you unlocked a character. Heck, why not reuse the Halloween Update unlock screen? It surely makes it more personalized!
The game plays out badly in the end. I'm sorry, but it feels like a content farm game more than a genuine fan game. I wish I could say otherwise, because so far the only selling point is the amount of characters it throws at you. Given it only adds characters and changes nothing else of the map or of other game aspects, it might be better to have a lot less of them but to add them with thought and care than to dump them to the player without a second thought. A heavy rewrite of the characters in the game would be needed to fix it in my opinion. Perhaps in following versions, some of the problems might be fixed (such as the animations), which is what I'm hoping to see, because it doesn't deserve to be in this section.
EDIT: dev left a comment. Good luck with fixing the game!

So here is the full list! What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? If there is any fan game you'd like to see here, don't hesitate to ask! I'll see what I can do and if I can play it, I most certainly will! I hope all of the devs good luck with their endeavors!
