Take the real-life tour

So, Kevin Wallace (Wilcoweb) dropped by IRC this morning when I was still asleep and said he’d been wandering around the town where I had photographed the background images for the game.

And that got me thinking, well, since these are real-life locations, maybe some of you would like to see where exactly in the world these pictures were taken.

Lo and behold, you can actually walk right through the park where Winny gives you your mission at the stone circle! (Although you can’t actually walk up to the stone circle itself.)

The office where I work at served as Al the Drug Lord’s office. You can’t actually go inside, but this is where it’s located in the world.

Right behind the office, if you go up the little parking road to the left of the office, you can walk right up to the entrance to the cemetery. You’ll probably be noticing a theme here when I say that you can’t actually go inside the cemetery and walk around, but you can walk right up to the gate that’s in the game — and you can see just how close it is to where I work on a daily basis.

And then there’s the post-apocalyptic wasteland. There are paved roads that go right next to where I shot my photos, but the actual places that are in the game weren’t visited by the little men with the Google hats. But on this screen, you can watch the incline that leads up to where you start off after (spoiler) you teleport into the future.

If you head west from here and then turn right at the intersection, you can walk up a paved road that’s adjacent to the path our hero takes as he explores the wasteland. Once you hit the dead end, turn right — that’s the building that’s right next to the power station.

I have half a mind to take my camera out and give you a guided video tour of the places someday. If anyone would actually be interested in that.

Stay tuned for more info on the game’s upcoming special edition talkie version!

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Animation test. Not an actaul conclusion to who wins sonic vs Mario. Just a test animation combo.

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)
