Hello, hello! It is I, the creature living underneath your bed! And I know it has been about two months now since the previous version of IIW 1 came out, so I thought about leaving behind a little devlog of how things have been going with the new update.
[Upcoming New Stuff]
The 0.5.0 update is proving to be adding quite a bit of new stuff into the game, the most important one being the brand new Generator Dungeons! What this pretty much means is that all of the four Generator Mazes (which will be able to be reactivated with a Customizable Orb) will now be replaced by brand new mini-dungeons that feature puzzles for the player to do!
So far, only the Restroom Dungeon has been completed, but the rest shouldn't take that long to create. Hopefully. Depends on how much I can focus on this project. It'll be done eventually, okay?
(Psst, there's also going to be two brand new bosses for you to face off against with the Extra Toppings switch enabled... Shadow the Hedgehog isn't in the game.)
[Upcoming Balance Changes]
Don't know why I'm giving all of them their own little section, but oh well, why the hell not! So far, a few skills belonging to the original four have been receiving a few changes to make them much more usable! This includes things like lowering costs or just overall making certain skills much more usable!
Not only that, but expect all Basic and Camera Types to be receiving various changes to make them all stand out from one another! Hope you enjoy dying to them!
(Also the Puppet + The Second Puppet have received a few changes as well, giving the Puppet a complete rework and the Second Puppet a much more deadly skillset as well.)
[Upcoming Minor Changes]
Remember when I mentioned the Extra Toppings switch like it was something anyone expect me knew about? Hah! Classic! Anyways, the Extra Toppings switch is pretty much just going to be what the Trinket Overload, Dungeon Crawling, Tapes & Presents and Boss Rush switches (orb for Boss Rush) are all going to be combined into. Also some of the rooms in the pizzeria have also received a few changes in appearance, so don't be too alarmed by blue-and-black tiles!
The Customizer itself has also received quite a few changes as well, heavily reworking certain elements of it to work much better while also making ALL orbs use a specific color to signify what type they are and now also have a brand new RANDOMIZE that simply randomizes them upon starting the game.
Extra Toppings is also now given a section dedicated to it, since I thought it would be for the best if any orbs relating to it would be moved to its own page in the Customizer.
[Upcoming Bug Fixes]
Seriously? Bug fixes?! What the hell, my game is completely free from any bugs! Uh, okay. Tapes & Presents is, uh, no longer always active (not like that changes anything anymore...), Shopkeeper B.B.'s dialogue is now properly stopped in the Supply Closet...
Ugh, this is pointless. I'll just add a thousand bugs instead in order to spite my past self. Hope you like clipping into walls!
[Conclusion]
And that was it for this quick devlog! Sorry for not including any pictures, as I am kind of writing all of this in a hurry! Just picture all of the things I have said instead in vivid detail, and now think about eating dirt. Did it work? Did I get you to think about eating dirt? If so, I'm sorry. If no, then I'm still sorry.
I would also like to note that the things that have been talked about in this devlog aren't the only things being added in 0.5.0, a lot of stuff that I didn't have the time to mention since I'm kind of writing this out as quick as I can. Uh, I guess I'll just say that I...
I...
I slightly changed the offset of G. Freddy's sprites to match the offset of Freddy's sprites so he looks less weird.
I'm sorry :)
I mean :(
