Hello everybody, it’s been a while, hasn’t it. There’s been a lot going on recently in terms of other projects, and it’s about time I clear these up. First off, what you all probably came here for: One Night at Bud’s 2. The truth is, I restarted development of that particular project when I released One Night at Bud’s: Revitalized. But over time, I started losing interest in the project as a whole. It was just more and more of me sitting there, trying to design rooms and animatronics for the game. Then, as I was working on an update to ONaB:R to tease the new game, Bud announced that after a few more FNaF fangames, he was gonna pretty much be done with FNaF as a whole. I can honestly agree with this decision, as FNaF as a whole is really dying down. Almost ALL of the original fans AND older fangame developers at this point have left the community as a whole, and what remains is almost nothing but memories at this point of the good times that the community as a whole had a pleasure of experiencing back in 2014-15. There is still a very active community, but not like what it used to be. What with many of the good old FNaF fangames that STILL get well deserved praise and love to this day being made in that time period. So I have decided with much care and thought to cancel One Night at Bud’s 2. My main points in deciding this are being:

1. Bud stated that he’s pretty much done with FNaF at this point, so it would probably annoy him if I did another One Night at Bud’s game. He’d probably rather have something with much more originality and heart put into a fangame about him. Not another crappy sloppy FNaF fangame about him.

2. The game would have had less unique and interesting mechanics, and more of FNaF 4 put into it. There likely would have been WAY less balance than ONaB:R in terms of mechanics, and I feared that many wouldn’t enjoy the game due to getting screwed over by potentially bad RNG-based mechanics.

It’s also worth noting that I have decided to take a break from game development as a whole, and sit back to enjoy some of my personal life. I’ve stressed way too much as of recent of only delivering you guys the best that I can make with one concept, and I haven’t really taken a proper break from these fangames. The case with The Horde 3 didn’t really count, as I spent most of that time working on trying to properly plan how the game was going to flow, and a couple other things of less importance. I feel like I need a break, figuring that I worked through that urge to bring you all update after update with ONaB:R until it was the best that I could have made it. I was working on Project: Revitalized as well as another mystery update to ONaB:R, but both of those are either cancelled or on hold. After a few more potential FNaF fangames, I wanna stop and leave the community as well. I’m getting awfully bored of FNaF as well. I didn’t even finish FFPS when it released, if that helps that case.

Overall, I personally feel like the ONaB story is complete, with the unsolved questions in the lore being left unanswered for perhaps the rest of time. There is nothing of worth left to say or tell about the story as a whole, and there’s an element of mystery for you guys to think up your own answers to. After all, the human imagination is a very powerful tool that can really be helpful if you possibly want more from this game, and you all can come up with your own conclusions to the story.
