I’ve finally got the newer version to a point where I think it’s playable and is ready to be shared.
Special mention to Shaun Spalding for teaching me how to do the camera system.
It’s nowhere near done, but it’s better than the last version.
I’ve improved the main menu, zombie path-finding, shooting, loot, camera and a lot more.
This version is completely rewritten almost from scratch, the only thing I’ve had to keep is the round system. I couldn’t improve it in anyway as it’s already good as it is, but everything else has been redone.
The only thing it’s missing so far is the boss, controller support, turrets and the ability to speed up and slow down time, all except the turrets are about halfway done and should be released in a newer version soon.
Currently you can lose health but it doesn’t affect you at all, this should be changed in the next update that’ll be coming soon. I just have to do a death screen to finish it off.
The new additions to the game include
What’s new menu.
Pause menu.
Leader board menu.
Help menu.
New main menu / pause menu system.
Some zombie sprites are redone.
New health bars on the zombies.
Fixed some bugs that were in the old game.
Zombies on main menu that bounce off each other (Right click to spawn more).
The backgrounds on both the main menu and in the game are only temporary, I’ll put in better backgrounds like the old one in a future update.
Main menu:
This is also the pause menu, with the start game replaced with resume game.
These are all the sub menus that you can go on.
When you press enter on quit game you have to confirm before exiting the game.
Sub menu:
All the menus look somewhat similar, with different text. With the exception
In game:
You can see the health bars, three types of zombies, new aim overlay, zombie counter in the bottom left, etc.
The text for the money is only temporary, I’ll make a better GUI update in the future.
